In Vacancy a bickering couple which consists of Amy (Kate Beckinsale) and David Fox (Luke Wilson) are driving on some road late at night in there BMW cause David took a detour. In movies this usually means TROUBLE! And it doesn’t take long time for there cars get broken. In that short time you’ll learn somethings about the couple, She has spells of Prozac-induced nightmares, he is bothered by those spells, their son’s dead and their marriage is a nightmare!

So when there car finally dies Amy and David decide that they have no choice but to pack it in for the night. They have one place to go to, and that’s Bates Motel, a cockroach-infested, creepy motel. When they want to checking in with the manager (Frank Whaley), they’re a little wary of the place, but again they have no other choice and go to there rooms.

By arriving in the room things will get worse! They hear banging noises on the doors and walls and they’re very scared.
David decides to “relax” and watch some videotapes that are available in the room. In all of the videotapes you’ll see people getting murdered in a room that looks just like theirs. Hey, wait a minute…it IS their room! David and Amy realize that they are next and they begin the fight for their lives!

Vacancy isn’t a standard movie. In this movie the characters aren’t stupid! They know exactly what to do and they seems figuring things out. But it’s still no perfect movie and it won’t break any records so don’t bother to watch!
