Evan Almighty

After Bruce Almighty appears on the screens 4 years ago it’s time for Evan Almighty! In case you’ve seen Bruce Almighty you might remember Evan (Steve Carrell). He was the newscaster that Bruce plays God with and makes him speak gibberish and act like a fool on live TV.

Since then, time has passed and Evan has moved on to bigger / better things! He’s a newly elected Congressman who wants to do right and change the world. So he moves his 3 boys and beautiful wife, Joan (Lauren Graham) from New York to Washington, D.C. into a gigantic house in a new subdivision that was once a beautiful valley.

At his first days at work Evan is contacted by Congressman Burrows (John Goodman) and asks Evan to help support him with a bill which would destroy the national parks so Burrows can get rich!

About the same time, Evan starts getting signs from God revolving around Genesis 6:14. Finally God (Morgan Freeman) reveals himself and asks Evan to build an ark. At first Evan don’t take this seriously but soon he’ll discover that he is the modern Noah and starts building an ark together with the help on his sons.

His wife, neighbors and media think that he’s gone crazy and think he’s having a mental breakdown: He suddenly appears in a robe, he’s letting his beard and hair long and he predicts a flood and things get even more crazier when 2 of every animal show up and start following Evan around everywhere he goes..

Evan Almighty was fun and the jokes were funny but isn’t as good as Bruce Almighty. I found this movie entertaining and again the jokes and the story was fun. I think you’ll enjoy it also!
