Finally.. After some long time it was time for the sun to shine! And that’s what the sun did yesterday! Yesterday it was a sunny summer day and that’s why Jannie and me decided to go to Scheveningen. At first we wanted to go to Leiden, but as we saw that it was a sunny day we changed our plans and began to grab some towels and put them in a bag. At 12 o’clock we took the bus from our house to the station and after having a lunch we took the train to Den Haag, better know as “The Hague”.. From Den Haag we took the tram to Scheveningen.

When arriving at the beach of Scheveningen we saw that it wasn’t that crowded and so we search for a nice spot to sit at! It was a great weather, the sun shined good and the temperature was over 23 degrees! But the see temperature was a little colder.. 18 degrees.. So a bit cold to swim for me ( if I had brought my swimming trunk with me! ) .. Anyway after spending some time under the sun we decided to go walk on the beach and after that we went to get our selfs something to drink at some of the many beach-bars!

After we were cooled down by the drinks, we start walking on the boulevard of Scheveningen. When we’re walking on the boulevard you soon get the idea that you’re on vacation.. Everybody is happy, and enjoying the sun! This is what I call: Summer!!

During our walk on the boulevard we got hungry and we searched for a nice restaurant to eat at!! After some time searching for the right restaurant we went to the first restaurant which we had seen on our way to the beach.. “De Veiling”, it was a fancy restaurant and the food was just great!!

When we finished our diner we had this romantic walk on the beach and watched the sun set! It was just great to be there, nothing to think about, nothing to worry about! By now we were thirsty and again we head back to the beach-bar which we were before called: “Summer-Time” and we stayed there for a while and enjoyed the sunset! It was beautiful to watch the sun go down, see it for your self!
