There are some times when you’re not at home and you need a document which is located somewhere on your computer.. A remote access to you computer would be very nice! But then you’ll see that there are a lot of tools which you can use, like Radmin, Dameware, PCanywher, VNC and many more.. But each one of them has it’s own limitation and need to be installed on both computers, your own computer and the one which you’re working on; BUT You need something which you can access your computer fast, secure and without any adjustments in your router and installing on both computers!!

Then is NTRconnect a great answer!! NTRconnect is remote computing software developed by NTRglobal. NTRconnect offers secure, easy remote access in real time, you only have to install the program on your own computer. All you need is an Internet browser and off course access to Internet. With NTRconnect you’ll have full remote access to all files, e-mail and applications on your PC. I’m using it for some weeks now, and it’s really great tool!

All NTRconnect products use 256bit AES end-to-end encryption to ensure the safety and privacy of your remote sessions. You can further enhance security by using key cards, authenticated user sessions and a wide range of features designed to guarantee corporate-level security. Use either NTRconnect Free or NTRconnect Pro (which cost something about 7 euro’s a month) to work from any location or to access your computer resources while traveling, being at your office, or just like me.. when you’re at school!

How does it work?

  1. Access the NTRconnect and enter your username and password.
  2. Select the computer you wish to control (you can select any of the computers you have access to from the Control Panel).
  3. Access the remote computer selected; the desktop of the remote computer will appear in a new window. From there, you can access all your files and programs on your computer.

As you can see, it’s quite simple to use. I personally go for NTRConnect Free, cause I don’t need the build in File transfer which in provided in NTRconnectPro and I can use my own FTP to transfer files or I just email the stuff to myself! So no Pro for me, NTRconnect Free is just fine with me!! You should use this small tool too, when you want to access your computer from your office, school or anywhere else!

It’s quite similar to LogMeIn, I’ll try it later, I hope it can work from behind a firewall!

In some ways yes! But I found NTRConnect user friendlier than Logmein and when every time when I used logmein there was this “leak” in the script of Logmein which forced my computer to hang!
So for me NTRConnect is the best solution!
