In The Condemned a very rich TV producer called Breckel (Robert Mammone) has a great idea for a reality show which will be broadcasted on the Internet. He has only one goal with this reality show: beat the 40 million Super Bowl audience. In order to get that he has selected a group of death row inmates which he offered the opportunity to compete in a game on an abandoned island for one week. There can be only one winner in the game, ten people will fight, nine people will die, and the winner will have his or her sentence dropped down to life imprisonment and avoid execution. There’s no escape from the island, the prisoners are rigged with an ankle bomb that can be triggered by hand or remote.
Breckel also has selected a group of technical geeks and puts camera’s through the island to make sure that he can broadcast every move in the “show” on the Internet.

The selected group of death row inmates are a rogue Australian guy called McStarley (Vinnie Jones), a martial arts expert (Masa Yamaguchi), a husband-and-wife team (Manu Bennett and Dasi Ruz), a monstrous killer (Nathan Jones) and others known only as The Italian, The German and the others will be forgotten very quickly! Among the ten prisoners there is a prisoner called Jack Conrad (Steve Austin) who’s in a South American prison for some obscure reason and is recognized on TV by his wife (Madeleine West) who tries to save him. However, Conrad doesn’t need any help actually, he’s pretty good helping himself.

I don’t know why but I was looking forward to see this movie but it disappointed me! So my tip for you is: Don’t watch it! It’s not worth it!!
