In 1408 Mike Enslin (John Cusack), a horror novelist believes only in what he can see with his own two eyes. Mike is the author of two successful books on supernatural phenomena. He’s now working on his new project called: “Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms.” There for Mike is determined to check out room 1408 in a New York City hotel by staying as a guest in the fabled room and survive a night. Despite the warnings of the hotel manager, Mr. Olin (Samuel L. Jackson), Mike is determined to go anyway! But Mike is about to experience no myth, cause the truth is, 1408 is a room where nobody checks out!

I expected so much more of this movie, and the actors! I wanted to know the origin of the evil, how it started, why it killed so many people and not only how it got defeated! So it was a bad movie, nothing especial to it!
