Master Exam

Last Monday I began with the Master Exam. Before starting the master exam, we got a lot of papers which we had to read and we also got a long explanation about how they’re going to take the master exam. So what is the master exam all about? Well, that’s simple:

  1. Making acquisition plan.
We have to make an acquisition plan. In this plan we had to write down how we’re planning to get more customers and how we’re planning to let the income of a company grow more and more. I have already passed this competence.
  2. Searching for a customer out of our own customer database at school, selling him a simple printing order such as: Business card, invitation card etc.
Yesterday I turned in the customers data. One of my teacher will be calling the customer to ask him how I’ve handled the conversation, if I was polite to the customer, if I was skilled in my work, in my way of talking and some other stuff. Anyway, I’m sure that I’ve passed this competence as well!
  3. Making a communication plan.
Today we got more information about this competence, and it wasn’t that hard! We only had to make a so called: “Creative Concept”. The Creative Concept will be presented to some designer at my school next year, he/she will be designing the corporate identity of the customer with the information which my Creative Concept contains. Orginally we had to turn in this peace of work Monday after the Christmas holiday, but the teachers wanted us to turn it today… No problem!
  4. Writing an accompanying letter among with the offer.
The Schoolhas to know if you can write a correct Dutch letter, so that’s why we have to write a accompanying letter. We also have to write the offer for the products that the customer wants. These 2 things are necessary to pass for this competence.
  5. Having a conversation where you have to tell the teacher how you manage the things above.
If you have done the competences listed here above, and you also have held a report of your appointments with your customer then you’ll pass this competence “automatic”!

Each competences has there own list of requirements, but I think I’ll manage this! I’ll keep you informed! Anyway, it’s now almost (I still have to go and work at Eindhoven Airport from 1900 till 2200) time for a two week Christmas holiday!
