Damn.. I love weekends very much! In weekends you can do a lot of things which you can’t do because you’ve been working for your boss all week OR you’ve being studding real hard! I usually can’t wait till it’s weekend unless it’s holiday off course!
This weekend was a really lazy weekend for me, yes like the other ones! After a great breakfast which I got from Jannie we headed to Veldhoven, a small city near Eindhoven, and spend some time there and on Sunday we did nothing but sleeping and watching movies with our new cinema set!!

Last week it was a very busy week for me at my internship so I was happy when it was Friday and I could head back home!! Almost a month ago I wrote that I didn’t recorded any part of the demonstration video, but last week I recorded the last and final part!! I’m almost finished with it, the one and only thing remaining is: recording the sound and that’s going to happen this week!! So you can image that this week was a real busy week, cause I’ve just two more weeks left to finish my master exam! So this weekend was just to relax a bit and getting some more energy to complete the last 5 weeks of my internship!!

I can’t wait till it’s 23 of May! Cause that’s the last day of my internship period! From there on I have to go to school for one or two days in the week and can fill the rest of the days by doing everything which I like to do like making day trips, finishing the garden, working at Eindhoven Airport, driving around on our scooter and making pictures, swimming and last but not least: having a BBQ!!

I sure wish i could enjoy one of those lazy weekends that you seem to get all the time.
After working close to 70 hours a week for my main job, I come home to having to do chores around the house and yard.
Not to mention I am still working on my own software projects.
So do you have a job lined up for after your internship?

I have been working every weekend for 8 years… So last year when I quit that job I swore that I would never would work in the weekends and just enjoying the weekends!

70 hours a week?? That’s too much!? I wouldn’t do that, not even when it pays real good!! :D

Chores around the house and yard?? Yep, I think that’s something that everybody has to do!

After my internship I’ll continue working at Eindhoven Airport for a couple of hours in the week and enjoy the summer!!

Well I am on salary so I guess the pay is not great as I do not get paid for over time.
But one of the pit falls to being in a management position is that when you are lacking staff you have to make up for it somehow. As I have always been told, lead by example.
On a good note if my software projects continue as well as they are, I may not need to maintain a full time job. ;)

Yes off course: lead by example but not by working your ass off!
I mean: 1. When your’re working 70 hours a week you got to get paid for the over time (If your boss do that, then your other colleague’s will soon be helping you!) and 2. by how you do it, you might get behind if you get sick or what ever!

Which Software project? A competitor for Bill Gates?? Some more details??

Even though I don’t get OT pay I do get a sizeable production bonus so it all works out in the end.
As for colleagues, I have none, and that is why I have to work so much. We are suffering from a man power shortage here.
On the software side of things I have a couple facebook applications in the wild right now. I also have a plug in for word press that works with adsense to make it easier to manage ads. A couple projects in developement for the palm pilot. Plus I am just finishing off some software to help with the administration of running a house rental company.

You’re a busy man Ben!!
Facebook Application? I thought you didn’t like Facebook at all! :)

But a adsense plugin for wordpress?? I was looking for that all night yesterday, but couldn’t find what I was looking for, so if it’s ready let me know!

Well I don’t have to like FaceBook to make money from it. Thats why I told the readers of my blog how evil it is.
The adsense plug in is in beta tst right now. I’ll try to send you an e-mail about if your interested in runing it.
