As we all know there are a lot of browsers which you can use to work with, but if you look at the statistics you see that FireFox and Internet Explorer are the most common used browsers. But FireFox had become quite popular the last years and it’s still growing!

My experience with FireFox:
Till some years ago I was also a Internet Explorer but then someone told me about FireFox and I thought: “Ok, I’m going to give it a try!”. Since then I’ve never use Internet Explorer! Ok, only for testing websites!
I would strongly sugges to everyone how uses Internet Explorer is to switch to Firefox! Just give FireFox a try and I bet you would like it as much as I do!

Why? FireFox offers a lot of cool features such as:

  1. Security & Stability
Security.. An issue which is really impotent for anyone of us! With FireFox you’re sure that you’re safe from spyware, scammers and spammers! But also from Phishing! (When you encounter a Web site that is a suspected forgery (known as a “phishing” site) Firefox will warn you and offer to take you to a search page so you can find the real Web site you were looking for.)
FireFox is also more stable than IE. Sure it may crash a time but that doesn’t have any consequences for your pc!
  2. Open Source
FireFox is an open source and free browser which means that there are a lot of developer which continuesly are busy to improve FireFox!
  3. Using themes
This is one of the things why I love FireFox. We all love to be especial and unique! With FireFox you can personalize the browsers with using a theme! They’re a lot of themes which you can use! You can start looking here
  4. Add-ons
With Firefox you can add a lot of extra function to FireFox! There’re over 1,000 add-ons which can be found here. For example you can use FireFTP, or Speed dial and off course MUCH MORE!!
  5. Password Manager
We all have a lot of passwords, for your blog, email, online shop, Google Adsense and more! Sometimes it’s just too much to remember! FireFox offers a great Password Manager, Internet Explorer doesn’t even have one!
  6. Bookmarks of Favorites
With FireFox it’s much easier to save and manage your favorites! It even allows you to export your favorites!!
  7. Spell Checking
FireFox has a built-in spell checking which makes it easier to write without any mistakes on your blog or web-based email!
  8. Web Feeds (RSS)
With Firefox you have full control over web feeds! FireFox shows you a preview and lets you choose how you want to subscribe!
  9. Session Restore
With Session Restore, if Firefox has to restart or closes you don’t have to worry about the tabs and windows you were browsing cause it brengs you back exactly where you left off.
  10. Ease of use
FireFox is really user friendly! When you first download FireFox you can start browsing immidiatly! This can be even made more easier when using themes!!
  11. Faster
Firefox is up to 5 times as fast as Internet Explorer and It outperforms Internet Explorer on any test!
  12. Page view / CSS usage
This is really impotent for webmaster and web developers! FireFox follows the CSS standards and shows you exactly how a page is designed so check your websites on FireFox. Unfortunatly, as Internet Explorer doesn’t follow the standards that good (Ok, IE 7 is a improvement of IE 6, but IE 7 still has a lot of CSS issues!) and as long as there are people how uses IE, and you don’t want to loose those visitors, just make sure that your website looks good in IE too.. I know.. a lot of work and that’s excatly why FireFox should be the standard browser!!

So be smart and switch to FireFox today and browse happy!!

I am forced to use IExplore at work and let me tell you even with its version of tabbed browsing it sucks goat balls.
I find firefox much faster, plus a lot more productive with the add ins that I have installed.

It’s a no-brainer, but tell all my “regular” computer users to use it, but if you’re into blogging, web design, or really anything internet based, you NEED to keep IE around for testing purposes. 60-70 percent of people still use IE, so you’ve got to know how they see your site.

And dude, get some Firefox rerfrral money from adsense when you write a piece like this.

2 Nicole: I know! FireFox should be the standard browser!

2 Dave: Like I wrote in my post, I use IE7 only for testing purposes just because there more people with IE than FireFox! :)

I’m actually kinda new to adsense… So if you got any tips for me I’m glad to hear theme!
