At last FireFox 3 has been released yesterday. FireFox 3 has a lot of improvements, 15.000 to be exactly, and it’s faster, smarter and safer than before.
Yesterday I downloaded the new version and I’m amazed! FieFox 3 is indeed much faster and it even uses less memory this time! It’s now also even easier to work with. Ok some of the add-ons doesn’t work now, but I’m sure that the author’s are going to update it asap!
Anyway, FireFox has a lot of new features such as:

  • One-Click Bookmarking
Bookmark, search and organize Web sites quickly and easily.
  • Instant Web Site ID
Avoid online scams, unsafe transactions and forgeries with simple site identity.
  • Improved Performance
View Web pages faster, using less of your computer’s memory.
  • Full Zoom
See any part of a Web page, up close and readable, in seconds.
  • Password Manager
Remember site passwords without ever seeing a pop-up.
  • Smart Location Bar
Find the sites you love in seconds-enter a term for instant matches that make sense.
  • Platform-Native Look & Feel
Browse with a Firefox that’s integrated into your computer’s operating system.

So you can see that Mozilla has done everything to make this version the best FireFox version yet!

Still a Internet Explorer user? Check the handy browser comparison chart here below and if that’s not enough for you, click here to find out why you NEED to switch to FireFox 3 today!

It is amazingly fast. I have found nothing yet that does not work properly. We will have to give it a bit of time but it appears to be quite stunning. Some of the extensions I use no longer work but I suppose it is just a matter of time before these guys catch up.

Since google sync broke (and I haven’t looked for a new version) I checked out foxmarks and that seems really cool..
I’m going to try it out tomorrow on my work computer to see if it all syncs well..

2 Karen:
Yeah, It’s extremely fast! :D I love it!

2 Dunn:
Jep. For a minute I wanted to change the theme but then I changed my mind cause I really like the default theme!

2 Sailor:
Only 2 of my add-ons (FasterFox & PDF Download) are not compatible yet. But I believe that the authors are going to make sure that it’s compatible with FF.
By the way: Are you still going to use Flock for all of your web related stuff or are you going to use FF3 now!? ;)

2 Shaxx:
FireFox rocked already but with this new version it rocks even harder!

2 DaKeY:
Yep. No more IE for you too I guess! I used IE only for Rabobank, but as a matter of fact they have updated the site a while ago so I actually use IE ONLY for testing my website! :p
By the way: I see that you finally have a Gravatar too! :D Your really love your tattoo, isn’t it?

2 TazDog:
Foxmarks is really great and it syncs perfectly and off course it’s compatible with FF3! ;)

2 Nicole:
Nice to see you back Nicole. How is life in Hungary? Having BBQ’s every day?! You really should install FireFox, it’s even better than it was before! :D

I haven’t upgraded to FF3 yet, I tried the release candidate but about 85% of my extensions do not work so I’m a little hesitant now.

2 Jesse the cat:
Yes there is a new version which is much better then the previous one. Give it a try it wouldn’t let you down, believe me! ;)

2 JONxBlaze:
Well..Don’t hesitate.. Believe me the authors of the add-ons will update the version and make it compatible with FF3.
The only add-ons which aren’t compatible at the moment and which I use is actually: Fasterfox.

In the mean time, the time between my last comment and now, the other add-on, PDF Download, has been updated. So I guess you can switch and be sure that everything will be updated.

Yeah, this is definitely the best Firefox version.. which it should be since it is the newest.

However, with the recent changes with Opera, I have to say Opera is now my browser of choice. It is MUCH faster than Firefox, even the new version. I love speed dial (which Fast Dial from Firefox doesn’t even compare to that well for me). It looks a hell of a lot better on Windows Classic, the ease of adding your own search…

Two things that Firefox has that I wish Opera would have are the bookmark toolbar and the new address bar/tags.

2 Luke Zet:
Yes indeed, I was really curious about this version and it hasn’t let me down.

2 Mr Pappagiorgio:
Jep. Same here! :D A message to those who still use IE: Just download FireFox and you’ll be amazed!

2 Chicken Say:
You should upgrade to FF3. I know you can’t be disappointed!

2 Gary R.Hess:
To be honest I have never used Opera. I can’t imagine that Opera is even faster then FireFox, no just kidding! ;) but maybe I’ll try it once but Firefox is my favorite browser. It fits my needs perfectly.
About the two things which Opera doesn’t have does Opera works like FireFox? I mean with Add-ons? If possible you can write your own Add-on!
