New CommentLuv – Found Here Badge

If you’ve left a comment on my site then you might have noticed that I use this plugin called: “CommentLuv“.

The CommentLuv Wordpress Plugin will visit the feed of the comment author and attempt to scrape the last post they made and display it under their comment, this way you can encourage people to join in the discussion of your posts and give something back straight away.

With this pluging I like to encourage people to comment, joining in the discussions of my post and giving something back to the commentator straight away.

What benefits does this have for you, as a commentator?

  1. Increased Traffic / Readership:
    You can increase your traffic and readership of your blog. Why? As people visit and read through the comments, they can see the titles of each person’s latest post. So If you’ve a great post titles, you WILL get traffic from this source and don’t forget that some of this traffic will convert to regular readers if people like your the stuff you write about.
  2. Benefits To PageRank
    If the blog you leave a comment behind is a Do Follow blog, (like mine!:razz:) it will send you visitors your way but it will also pass you a little bit of PageRank.

For maximum exposure and benefit when commenting on CommentLuv enabled posts you should turn off FeedBurner redirect in RSS feeds.

Anyway, As I didn’t like the original CommentLuv badge I wanted to make my own. Jep, like the You Comment I Follow badge. Anyway, this is what I came up with. Cool isn’t it?? :wink:

    Thanks for the useful post, and debate in the comments. There are pros and cons to KeywordLuv and CommentLuv. For me, CommentLuv has a slight advantage as it provides a deep-link to a blog post, as well as a general link to the homepage. Assuming you have keywords in your post-titles, you get the best of both.

    CommentLuv helps you reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their site. This gives them improved anchor text, which can help their site rank higher in the search engine results.
    You can now leave a comment with your name as well as a keyword of your choice here and get a PR5 link back to your site! How cool is that? People pay big bucks for that and all you have to do is comment here.

    Thanks for the trackback Seo Blog. I get too much comment spam, so if you don’t see your comment immediately it’s because I have to moderate comments and trackbacks.. So that’s why you didn’t see your trackback!

    No, it has never giving me any spams Joe. Hmmm.. I’m really going to check the Keyword plugin out! I have said it many times but actually never did that! :roll:

    I personally, really do like the KeywordLuv plugin… I don’t mind people using keywords as their name, but when replying to a comment, I find it hard to speak to certain people, so I think this helps quite a bit :)

    No, you still can use RSS. This is just to optimize it for search engine rankingMyDesktop.

    Seems like quite a few people want to see KeywordLuv installed. A better option that gives you more control is the Top Commentor plugin combined with Lucia’s Linky Love – a dofollow link on the front page of your site for the highest number of comments from an individual.

    i like this plugin idea and i know it increase traffic but on other hand it increase spam too ( also dofollow plugin ) so you need big spam blocker + turn your blog to moderator .
