If you’ve left a comment on my site then you might have noticed that I use this plugin called: “CommentLuv“.
The CommentLuv WordPress Plugin will visit the feed of the comment author and attempt to scrape the last post they made and display it under their comment, this way you can encourage people to join in the discussion of your posts and give something back straight away.
With this pluging I like to encourage people to comment, joining in the discussions of my post and giving something back to the commentator straight away.
What benefits does this have for you, as a commentator?
- Increased Traffic / Readership:
You can increase your traffic and readership of your blog. Why? As people visit and read through the comments, they can see the titles of each person’s latest post. So If you’ve a great post titles, you WILL get traffic from this source and don’t forget that some of this traffic will convert to regular readers if people like your the stuff you write about.- Benefits To PageRank
If the blog you leave a comment behind is a Do Follow blog, (like mine!:razz:) it will send you visitors your way but it will also pass you a little bit of PageRank.Source: Scratch99.com
For maximum exposure and benefit when commenting on CommentLuv enabled posts you should turn off FeedBurner redirect in RSS feeds.
Anyway, As I didn’t like the original CommentLuv badge I wanted to make my own. Jep, like the You Comment I Follow badge. Anyway, this is what I came up with. Cool isn’t it??

All you have to do is Download the plugin, upload it on your ftp server in the plugin directory of wordpress, active the plugin and enjoy!
I like commentluv and have it installed on my site. I also try to do some ‘sponsorluv’ at sites that have it enabled and give them a little clicky luv as thanks.

i like this plugin idea and i know it increase traffic but on other hand it increase spam too ( also dofollow plugin ) so you need big spam blocker + turn your blog to moderator .

Hmm.. well I’m just running Akismet and it’s doing a perfect job over here Money Academy. I don’t moderate all the comments… If one of your comments is approved by me, you can leave as many comments as you want to, without your comments being moderated!
This is just a standard option within WordPress..

While commentluv is a great plugin, I think its nonetheless a arguable matter that nofollow hyperlinks really count. Typically it sometimes appears as if it is determined by the site; if it’s a trivial website then the nofollowed link is nearly valueless, but if its from a excessive authority site (resembling hubpages or ezine articles for instance), then it can be pretty sweet although to gain any PR increase you will want dofollow links.

It’s interesting that blogs first started out as a way for people to express their opinions on their chosen subjects (at least that’s what I thought), but now it has turned into a link building tool with this dofollow and nofollow debate.
