Two days ago I wrote a post called: “New CommentLuv - Found Here Badge“. In the post I explained that CommentLuv can increase your traffic & readership and that’s also good for your pagerank.
Anyway, It’s time for a BIG list of blog which have the CommentLuv plugin installed. (Ok, The list isn’t that big yet, but I’m sure it will be!)In case you want to show your visitors that you’ve CommentLuv installed, then you can use the badge here below.

If you don’t have the plugin installed yet, click here to get the plugin. If you have the plugin installed and you want to be on this list, just leave me a comment and I’ll add you asap.

Comment luv is a good thing but if you are using both comment luv and do follow you could be using out a lot in Google PR , not only that this could lead to Google devaluing your site as well since you could be pointing to lots of different unrelated sites for no particular reason

I have comment luv on my blogs as well as dofollow.

I don’t “advertise” it in any way, but the “comment luv” tag is on comments, so anyone who leaves a comment knows they’ll get that extra plug from me.

No problem Sailor.

Didn’t knew that Nishadha. By the way: Do you know if the following is right? I had read some where (a long time ago) that one page can contain 100 links. If there’s more that 100 links on a page Google would “punish” you for that. So is this true?

No problem Dunn

You’re right, it’s all about returning the favor to those how comment Margaret!

Cool! I have added you in the list Jared.

No problem Susan!

BioTeck , I don’t use do follow in my blog because PR is important. Even if page rank is not important to you I think you want to be recognized as a good blog. Its not about the number of links you have , actually if you link to quality blogs often you will look good to Google. But the problem with having comment love plug-in and do follow together is in a while you will have lots of links pointing to unrelated sites.Yours is a blog that focuses primarily on technology issues but is you have lots of links pointing to unrelated things like home made bags ,jewelery items etc this will devalue your blog.

Interesting!
CommentLuv helps you reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their site. This gives them improved anchor text, which can help their site rank higher in the search engine results.
You can now leave a comment with your name as well as a keyword of your choice here and get a PR5 link back to your site! How cool is that? People pay big bucks for that and all you have to do is comment here.

Blogger Tips - Madmouse Ethical SEO Blog wrote on Thursday 20 November 2008 - 11:43

Comment LUV is a very nice plugin and it seems to help in getting more people to comment. An increase of traffic is always nice to have, it is probably what most of us bloggers dream of.

I have the plugin installed on my blog and it seems to work, but it also encourages people to spam a bit with comments of no value.

Please add my blog to your list. Thanks..

From my experience (I use a private blogging platform and just use a spam database and moderation to keep out comment spam) I’ve found that most of the worse automatic spam is from mass bots that often don’t care if your site is do-follow or not. They just post EVERYWHERE. A lot of search engines don’t even pay attention to no-follow….

As such I have do-follow on my site and combine it with a spam filter. Anything that gets through that it rather easy to moderate by hand (and keeps me on top of reading all of my users comments; maybe this would be a bigger issue when (if..) we are larger.

Since a couple of weeks I use Akismet and I have to say that you’re right, Mogs. The worst spam is indeed from the automatic spam and the spmmers just post spams everywhere and they don’t look if you’re site do-follows.
