My New Addiction: Nintendo Wii

Since a couple of days I’m a proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. I got it from Jannie because I graduated. Ever since I got the Wii I want to play with it as much as I can. :wink: I never though that I would love it that much but it’s really cool. You can do almost everything with the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck. Right now I’m playing The Godfather game and it’s really cool. You have to start from scratch and make your way up to the top. You can drive around in the city, doing some missions for the family, exploiting business and much more! Off course using the Wii Remote and the Nunchunck is very cool and it gives to the felling like your really are IN the game! :smile:

I also love to play Super Mario Galaxy. When some creature escapes into space with Princess Peach, it’s Mario job to chase and explore bizarre planets all across the galaxy in order to rescue Princess Peach. Since he’s in space, Mario can perform some cool jumps unlike anything he’s done before. He’ll also have a wealth of new moves that are all based around tilting, pointing and shaking the Wii Remote. With other words: FUN! :mrgreen:

Like I said: I never though that playing Wii would be so fun.. I’m very glad that I have it now, because the weather in The Netherlands is very bad right now. It’s supposed to be summer, but till now it has rained almost EVERY DAY! The bad thing is that it’s going to last for some more days. :???: So playing Wii is actually the best option beside going to the cinema and going out to diner! :razz:

    I can understand your addiction, when i first got my Nintendo Wii and on the first day I played 9 hours straight, I really got addicted on the Wii Sports Tennis and The Godfather, during the first month I used to play more than 3 to 5 hours daily, and even if I am busy I still try to make time to play it, pathetic I know, but it is actually FUN.

    The best thing is when your friends think that it is “SILLY” to play Wii and when they try it they get HOOKED… lol

    Same here, when we first got ourself Nintendo wii. The game that I like the most to play are tennis, wario and cooking mama. just bought mario party 8 and sims pet. Will try them out later. :razz:

    Yes Liza. It is REALLY addicting! :wink: If you can control your son with a Wii then you can buy one for him, otherwise… :wink:

    I play about one or two hours daily, but if I hadn’t had any other obligations I would love to play it ALL DAY LONG! :mrgreen:

    Wario and Coocking mama? To be Honest I haven’t heard of those games before Dunn! Going to Google it down and see how it looks like, maybe I would like to have those aswell! :D

    I’m currently playing The Godfather on my XBox 360 and I can agree that this game is totally addictive.

    I’m curious how the shooting and the driving work with the Wii.

    Hey Behrad! I was playing Godfather just today on PS2, I\’m getting a new console soon or for Xmas (which ever comes first) not sure if it\’ll be a Wii or a 360.. they both have good games on them..     Driving around in The Godfather is very easy BlueWorkhorse: You can steer with the Nunchunck and accelerate with the B button, or the A button.. I don’t remember! :razz:
    The shooting is really cool.. You simply point the Wii Remote to let’s say the head, Press the Z button to aim and B to shoot! You can check YouTube for the gameplay.

    I used to play games on PC too Shaxx. But these days I can’t play the newest game with my pc anymore! :razz:
    Diablo II..Damn, I loved that game! :D

    Welcome back Joo. If I would buy a console I would defently go for the Wii.. It’s really different then PS3 or Xbox 360. The graphics looks great and the gameplay, well.. Just play it once and you know what I’m so addicted to it! :wink:

    Believe me Tazdog it IS fun! In my last comment I’ve posted a link to Youtube where you can see the gameplay of The Godfather game! :D

    I really do love my wii too! It’s the best console I own (I have an XBox 360 too!)

    Have you tried out Super Mario Kart properly yet? I think it’s an amazing game, as so is Super Mario Galaxy.

    I heard there’s plans of the ‘Wii 2′ coming out too, I’d love to see what they do with the second one!

    I too am addicted to my nintendo.

    I have an old console as well as a wii & a DS.

    The wii makes my arms ache though (especially boxing..) I guess the only thing I don’t like is that my 6 year old can beat me at bowling :cry:

    Yer especially as it makes some games more fun … like star wars for example, good game to play on xbox and playstation but on the Wii is so much better

    Yep! However it’s a shame the new Need for Speed:Shift isn’t available on the Wii Joe
