Fine Tuning ClearType In Windows XP

Posted By: BioTecK on Friday 25 July 2008 with 2 Comments

In my last post I wrote how you can enable cleartype in Windows XP. By enabling the cleartype the text will look much more sharper and therefor much easier to read. Anyway, enabling the cleartype is very easy but there is a way to fine tune the cleartype in Windows XP to your needs.

Method 1:
You can use a online tuner which is able here. To fine tune cleartype, you only have follow the steps till your satisfied!
NOTE: In order to do so, you HAVE to use Internet Explorer. That’s why I don’t like this and the reason I choose method 2! (Why I don’t like Internet Explorer? Read it here!)

Method 2:
You can use Windows ClearType Tuner PowerToy. With this PowerToy you can tune your ClearType settings via the Windows Control Panel. Just download the Cleartype Tuner PowerToy and follow the steps till your satisfied! !
