BioTecKWhen I was surfing around I noticed that there are a lot posts on the mmo (Make Money Online) blogs about Google’s pagerank being updated.
To be honest I never look to a site’s page rank, cause I have the Google Tool Bar hided in Firefox and the pagerank doesn’t tell me if I’m going to like the site. So at first I didn’t pay any attention to it but then suddenly I checked my main page I noticed that Google has updated my pagerank as well! I have been giving a Pagerank of 2! 
I know, it’s just a number and it’s not important for me but I kinda like this. Why!? Cause I have been blogging on BioTecK.net for less then 5 months. I also have a much higher Alexia ranking. In the past I had a ranking of 930,915 and right now it’s 90,402!
Anyway, like I said the pagerank it’s just a number and that doesn’t change anything for me! I mean the pagerank might be important for advertisers but as you might have noticed BioTecK.net is ad free at this moment. Maybe I’m going to change that, I don’t know! I Will concentrate on that in the next weeks/months and see if I’m going to use Google Adsense, Project Wonderful, Adbrite or some other methods…
So if you have any suggestions or tips about one of them, or maybe even other (affiliates) programs, please share them with me so I can make a good decision!

Congratulations for getting a PR of 2. My blog is just a month old and obviously it will not get any pagerank at all. Maybe I get lucky during the next update.
As for the programs to make money online, try Adsense, I heard a lot of people making thousand of dollars a month with it.

Congrats! I am currently using Adbrite, Project Wonderful and ADSDAQ… In terms of earning, Project Wonderful is the fastest followed by ADSDAQ even though it only captures selected traffic. The slowest is Adbrite even though I have been using it many years before Project Wonderful and ADSDAQ, which both started in 2008.

Google Pagerank is so unpredictable. I have registered a domain 5 moths ago and have installed a dating script(I confess that I got that script from a torrent site so it is free) and now it has pagerank 5. Do you believe it? If not then check whois and PR of site http://www.pakistanirishtay(dot)com
What happened with it, I still don’t know.
The Google PageRank updates once in three months according to my info Hye Munar. Be patient and see what happens!
In the past I have tried Adsense but so far I have earned just $2 dollors!
When I started blogging I did it because I want to share stuff, read and like you said: building a social network Bonoriau! The PR, the Alexa rankings etc is just something extra for me!
Yeah, I don’t know the benefits of a PR Sailor. I think it’s Google’s way to say that your website is cool! :p Nothing more, nothing less!

Yeah that’s too bad Axioblogger but like I said in my post: It’s just a number, nothing more nothing less! It’s your content which counts!
You’re right about Google Pagerank being unpredictable Passive Harry. I don’t think that there are any guidelines for Google Pagerank. Yeah I just checked it, PR5.. Congratulations!
I suggest Adsense
and text-link-ads
But, if you planning to sell some space for ads, please nofollow the link.
Because, google give heavy penalty on link sellers that is intentionally to sell PR.

Congratulations BiotecK on PR2. That’s great, but your Alexa ranking is even more impressive.
It looks like Google reviews Page Rank every three months. I was increased to PR3. I haven’t noticed a major improvement in Google rankings, but my MSN rankings got much better.

Congratulations to you for getting a PR2.
In fact, I think Alexa ranking really tells something about a site performance. Because it keeps comparing millions of sites available in the world and accordingly adjusts a site’s ranking.
Whereas Google PR is an absolute number which is somehow more attractive # to advertisers.
For an individual, I am not sure if it measures the success of your site or something. And as you said, as long as you are not involved in advertisements, you don’t really care.
Anyways, it is a debatable topic I think.
For now, I will say, keep doing the right thing and be happy that you got honored by Google with PR2.

Adsense has the best payout, ProjectWonderful is the fastest. I think AdSense can be fast too, if you have the necessary traffic and the right keywords. So if you reached a fair daily traffic, I encourage you to use those 2 programs. TLA is not working for me, but at the same time I haven’t been very constant in the effort I put on the blog update, so I blame myself more than anything else.
This said, congratulations on the blog’s development. I knew BioTeck at its beginnings, and I must say, you are doing a great job. Keep it up

Yep.. You’re right Hye Munar about being lucky with Adsense. If making money online was easy, then everybody would have stopped there jobs and start a blog but that ain’t the reality!
