My First Week At My New Job…

Posted By: BioTecK on Friday 12 September 2008 with 20 Comments

I know.. I know.. It’s been a while since I wrote something here. I’m not forgotten about BioTecK.net, it’s just that I’m not really used to this routine of a 40 hour working week. So forgive me for that!
Anyway, Like I wrote some weeks ago last Monday was my first day at my new job.

Monday I started my job with the function as Marketing Assistant at Joico which offers a lot of (exclusive) hair products. Products which you can’t buy at the local supermarket!

As I already mentioned in that post, I was very anxious to start at this company. I really couldn’t wait to start! When I arrived at the office Monday, a colleague guided me to my department and there was this very cool thing waiting for me on my desk, see below:

Cool right?! After meeting my new colleagues, introducing myself and getting to know them a bit, I got a tour through the company, warehouse and met the other colleagues. Not everybody was present at that moment but I think that I’ll get the chance to meet them soon. I also have got a schedule for the first couple of weeks and in these week I have “meet & great” meetings with all of the colleagues. This is something which I really like.

On my first day I also got a gift pack with there most exclusive products and a towel. It was very fun and cool to start this way, something which I never experienced before or expected!

About my activities at work I can tell you this; I have a lot to learn but the activities are going to be very various, something which I really like. The past week I’ve done some small things such as asking offers for some products, searching some products, making pictures of products etc…
I also have been introduced to some of the suppliers, I’m being told all about the ongoing projects, upcoming marketing promotions, projects and more.. Like I said, I really have a lot to learn but I don’t mind it at all!

I like working at my new job and I hope that I can stay there for a long time.
