Do You Talk Too Much In Your Blog?

Today I came across The Blog Verbosity Test and I took the test. This test will count how long your blog posts are and compare them against other bloggers. I know that I have been written some long posts in the past but I was curious about that and I took the test and this is the result:

On average, your blog posts are around 68 words in length. This is 84 percent shorter than other bloggers who took this test.

    I am one word less than yours… LOL!

    My posts are bit longer than yours on average apparently. Interesting stats.

    I don’t think that checker actually clicks the “Read More” link or the title to read the full length of your posts. It said I was 67% shorter than the average blog. When I have several posts that are well over 1000 words I know that can’t be right.

    Well…In order to get this test working your blog must have an RSS feed that shows full posts, not previews of posts.
    If you use a “Read More” link into your posts, it’s only available on your blog and not in your feed. I just checked it with one of my Posts: BioTecK.net: Now Available In PR3!. In this post I’ve used a “read more” link but when you open up my feed, you don’t see the “read more” link! :wink:

    Anyway, I don’t know how accurate this test is, but it’s funny and gives you an average amount of words Paul. :)

    Well, I took the test and here is the result for my test: “On average, your blog posts are around 747 words in length. This is 75 percent longer than other bloggers who took this test.”

    What does this mean? It means that I’m a person that talk too much…? lol
