Another Week Passes By…

Is it me or does the week passes REALLY quick? Since a couple of weeks I’m having the feeling that everything goes really fast and with really fast I mean with the speed of light!
For example: When I woke up this morning I knew it was Saturday but at the same time it felt like it was Monday yesterday. It also felt like I hadn’t done anything in the past week while I was just done with a 40 hour working week! It’s really weird.
I’m having this “trouble” also at work. I start working about 8:30 everyday and everyday the first time I look at the clock it’s about 12 o’clock and it’s time for launch! The second time when I look at the clock it’s somewhere around 16:00 and that means that the day is almost over!
So when I woke up this morning I though about the things I wanted to do today and just a moment later, it’s evening again and again the time went past so quickly! In the mean time I had done a lot of things, but again..When looking back at today: It felt like I hadn’t done anything!
It almost looks like there aren’t enough hours in a day while there’s so much to do! Things you want to do with your wife, time to relax, time to watch a movie, doing somethings around the house etc…
Don’t you just hate it that the time flies so fast?

Indeed, time does fly really quickly. I’m not sure how to counteract it, but focusing on the present helps me. This reminds me of a joke:
How do you make time fly? Throw a clock out the window!

At work, time flies so quickly. I also find myself filled up with work to do that I soon realize by end of the day, I have not accomplished it.
You’re lucky to have only 40 hours per week in your place. In our country 48 hours is the norm in many private companies, which leaves Sunday as the only day of rest.
I know exactly how you feel. Currently I also need about 34 hours per day. Maybe all of this means that we are actually getting old
Lyndi´s last blog post..I love your blog award
Thanks for being one of my top 10 ec droppers!

My days seem to fly by as well, unless there is something really awful that I happen to be doing. Getting stuck doing something brainless is the best way to make time crawl. I wouldn’t recommend it though.

LOL! Cool joke John D. Mm… Going to try and remember your tip!
If I ever find a cure.. I’m going to let you know Shaxx!
Damn..48 hours a week? That’s just too much Gem..Your situation sounds very familiar by the way!
Getting old? Hmmm.. Naah.. I’m not going to believe that Lyndi! 34 hours a day..mmm..sounds enough!
Yeah! Once again in the top 10 ShaxX!
LOL.. Something brainless Paul?
Hmm.. I think I’m going to pass on this one! :p
Time flies for us as well.
It’s getting worse every year
Tell me about it, am still a University student, and the weird thing is that, when am enjoying one of my classes, Time flies like *Snap* and its the next class, and the opposite goes for the boring classes…basically i think when we’re enjoying something that we do, only then that we don’t realize how fast time flies, on the other hand…when ur just sitting..and maybe thinking of what to do and what not to do…only then you’ll wish for the time to go by
Yes, it is actually a reality in our country, in most multinational companies.
In government offices they only work for 40 hours, but chances of career advancement is better in private companies.
I have been experiencing the same thing the past few weeks. I am not sure if it is just because I am busy, or because I am having fun or what, but the time just keeps going by incredibly fast. If anyone has any ideas to get it to slow down, let me know! haha
Yes, time flies really so quickly. It seems 40 hours is not enough for the week.
Yep your right Nicole.. It’s almost time for new year’s resolution!
Yeah.. It reminds me of the time when I was at school..
Well, I think that’s why they say: Time flies when you’re having fun!” DanielPK!
Well Gem if you work in government offices in Holland then you’ll have a 32hour week in most cases!
Well.. I don’t consider work as fun..
just kidding!
I guess it’s because we’re busy all the time Leif Spiel!
Your absolutely right vev from teak furniture!
Hi.
Time really flies!
I normally say the 24 hours of the day aren´t enough for me, lol.
The truth is I mess my sleep.
I also like the image in your post, it reminded me a famous painting, I like alot, from Salvador Dali, that includes watches.
A good Monday.
Mizé´s last blog post..Countryside: A Roman Bridge
Hi Mizé!
Happy Monday to you too, well.. It’s actually almost over.. but a good Tuesday!
Anyway..Like I wrote in the post.. even today the time passed by very quickly!
That is why one of Pink Floyd songs says “you are young and life is long and there is time to kill today, and then one day you’ll find, 10 years have got behind you, no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun”…So true.
