When I first started using Vista, I was very annoyed with the user access control, so I shut it off. I have very good anti virus and spyware software installed on my PC, and I am very careful of downloads, emails and where I surf. The system is more protected if you leave the user access control on, but very annoying. If I get an Trojan and it executes, it is my own fault because I have shut own the user access control.

If you are a newbie, I would leave it on until you become familiar what should execute on your system.

Yes, the UAC can get very annoying. Even though it does provide better security, I still don't like the trade off. Thanks for sharing this tip, should help a lot of people using Vista! John D´s last blog post..Make Money Flipping Domains
