Auslogics BoostSpeed – Speed Up Your Computer!

Posted By: BioTecK on Monday 16 February 2009 with 35 Comments

In the past couple of years I’ve helped a lot of people with there computer problems. A lot of people wondered why their computer was running slower than usual and why they notice a loss on their computer performance. Well, unfortunately the more often you use your computer the slower it gets IF you don’t do anything about it.

I mean think about ALL the junk and temporary files stored on your computer, all those broken registry keys / unused files when you un-installing an application etc. So it’s no wonder that your computer is getting slower and you notice a loss on your computer performance, right? So what can you do about this? The answer to the problem is very simple: Use Auslogics BootSpeed 4!

Auslogics BootSpeed 4 is an all in one utility which really can speed up your computer.  With this tool you have everything you need to speed up and improve performance of your computer. You even can tweak Windows if you like too!

When opening Auslogics BootSpeed4 you’ll see a very clean design and you’ll see that it’s very easy to navigate through the options, which brings me back to the all in one part I mentioned before. Here below is a list which Auslogics BootSpeed offers:

  • Computer Clean Up: With this option you can clean up your computer by cleaning your disk, registry, getting rid of unnecessary software and optimize the boot time of your computer by controlling which programs are allowed to start automatically on your computer!
    • Disk Cleaner: Clean up disk drives and get rid of junk files. See below for a screenshot of junk files which Ausoligcs BootSpeed 4 found on my computer! 4416 junk files which had a total size of 2,11 GB!
    • Auslogics Registry Cleaner: Clean up the Windows Registry and fix registry errors.
    • Auslogics Uninstall Manager: Add and remove programs and Widnows Updates.
    • Auslogics Startup Manager: Control which programs are allowed to start automatically on your computer. If you want to make sure that your computer startups faster I really recommend to check this out.

  • Optimization: With this option you can improve your computer performance by defragmenting your hard disks, your registry and even your RAM memory. Beside that you can speed up your internet browser.
    • Auslogics Disk Defrag: Boost performance by defragmenting disk drives. See below for a screenshot. I had defraged my disk a couple of days ago, but still Auslogics BootSpeed did a good job!
    • Auslogics Registry Defrag: Compact and defragment the registry to speed up your system.
    • Auslogics Internet Optimizer: Speed up your web browser and Internet downloads.
    • Auslogics Memory Optimizer: Free up and defrag computer memory (RAM). This might be handy when you need more RAM for editing a movie or working with a large Photoshop file.

  • Privacy and Security: Protect your computer from Internet Attacks.
    • Auslogics Track Eraser: Protect your privacy by removing tracks from your computer.
    • Auslogics PC Security: Prevent Internet attacks on your computer.
    • Auslogics File Shredder: Remove files and folders beyond restoration. Note: By doing this you wouldn’t be able to recover any files/folder with a recovery software anymore!
    • Auslogics Disk Wiper: Wipe your disk completely and make sure files you have removed earlier cannot be undeleted.

  • Information and Control: Get detailed information about your system and tweak them if you would like to. However, this is an option for advanced users.
    • Auslogics Tweak Manager: Use many undocumented Windows tweaks to tune up your system for maximum performance. For examle you can  tweak Animation and Effects in Windows, the user interface, startup and shut down and more!
    • Auslogics Service Manager: Here you can find Windows system services settings which you can tweak or shutdown if you would like to,
    • Auslogics System Information: Here you can get detailed information about your computer (hardware) and the operating system.
    • Auslogics Task Manager: Get detailed information about which programs and processes are running on your computer. This is a bit different then the build-in task manager. For example: If you see a process and don’t know what it is, you can click on “Google it” and Auslogics BootSpeed will connect you to Google so you can find out what the process is about.
  • Windows Tools: Here you’ll find some hidden Windows Tools which can be very useful when you want to optimize your computer and you even can decide which services should be running on your system.
    • Microsoft DirectX Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and change DirectX settings on your computer.
    • Windows Performance Monitor: Advanced users can use this program to monitor system performance.
    • Windows Service Manager: Control which services should be running on your computer.
    • Computer Management: Change scheduled tasks, see system events, manage disks and devices.

So like I said, you can do a lot of things with this small peace of software! At first I didn’t knew what to expect but once I got this installed on my PC I was actually pretty surprised! I mean all of this options in one software? That’s great, right? Usually for every option which Auslogics offer you have a different software installed so this is much handier to use! Give it a try, I know you’ll like it!

Does running a program like this compromise your security? I use my PC all day every day so any extra speed is appreciated. Thank you for this information and I will wait for a reply.

So, I just ran this program and found that it helped a little, though not a huge amount. Of course, my PC is only a few months old too. I know it is a little hard for you to tell (you not being here) but could I have used the program incorrectly? Or is it likely my computer is running close to peak performance as it is? And how can one tell the difference?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, I’ll be sure to try it. I currently use Spybot: search and destroy to manage startup programs. That keeps me running pretty smoothly, but it doesn’t feature a registry/unnecessary files cleaner. I used to use the old Toniarts Easycleaner for that, but they haven’t come up with a new version in a while. I hope this works, thanks again!

That piece of software is great – reminded me of TuneUp Utilities that I had given up not long ago for separate apps that perform all those functions.

Looks like this is indeed worth having. I think less tech-savvy users would find this easy to use.

    Hi Gwen!
No running programs like this doesn’t compromise your security, as long as you know what you’re doing.

Well, to be honest. The program is pretty simple to use so I don’t think you’ve used it incorrectly Spot Cool Websites!
Regarding the difference.. You can see and feel the difference when you frequently use a program like this.. Your computer is running smooth, you can start up the programs etc..

In the past I’ve used Spybot: Search & destroy, but it’s not my favorite program, to be honest Sean @ US Medical Supplies. Every time I did a scan it did find something, even after a scan.. So I found that very suspicious..
Anyway, Give Auslogics a try.. You might love it! ;)

LOL! This is funny Gem. That’s the same reason why I don’t use TuneUp Utilities anymore!
And indeed, it’s very ease to use!

Thanks for answering my question. I visit hundreds of blogs a month and I see posts that get abandoned all the time. People ask questions and the writer never responds. I really appreciate that you take the time to follow your posts.

I only recently discovered your blog while doing research for The 109 Day Link building Explosion. We review 5 social media sites, forums and blogs which allow user generated content and that provide Do Follow links.

I tell you this as I am here to review your site. It will appear in day 78 on 03/19/2009.

Looks they they have everything you need on one program. I like the start up program thier are alot of things that run in background that do not need to. This can make a difference in computer speed.

  • BioTecK (Author) said:

Hmm, why would you spend money on replacing your computer when you can speed up your computer yourself Lucien Piccard?

    Yeah, it really does Bob.
