Google Chrome VS Firefox!

I’m a big fan of Firefox and I’ve been using it for so many years and it has never let me down.
Now as we all know there is a new player in town when it comes down to browsers. This new player is made by Google and it’s called Chrome. I’ve waited a long time to give this a shot as I didn’t want to test it when it was beta and/or if it was just released. Just to give it a fair chance against Firefox.
So some weeks ago I installed Google Chrome on my Windows 7 PC and did a test drive for some days and I must say: Damn, Google Chrome isn’t what I expected and it really disappointed me! Why? just keep reading!

- Faster startup
This is the only thing which I can say that Google Chrome does better then Firefox!
Yeah it sure start up faster than Firefox. However this was never an issue to me. - Stability
To me Google Chrome didn’t seem any stable as Firefox as I had a lot of troubles viewing a lot of websites with Chrome. The browser froze all the time and having more then 5 tabs open was like I was working on a BIG Photoshop file, Illustrator file, Indesign AND editing a video all at the same time!
The browser also crashed my PC when I wanted to open the webshop of JoicoEurope (Company where I work!) which is a normal webshop without any bad codings etc… (believe me.. I Know that for sure!)
This happened to me a lot of other times with other websites too. - Extensions / add-ons
There are some nice extensions for Chrome but not as many as for Firefox. In this case Firefox is the BIG winner! - CPU usage:
At my Windows Ultimate x64 bits system Firefox uses less memory then Google Chrome with the same amounts of tab open.
I also did installed this at work on a Windows XP PC but I noticed the same problems; Crashing up, a lot of troubles viewing websites etc…
So at the end when I look at the results I can say only one thing; Google Chrome isn’t better then Firefox. So why should I switch? My point exactly! ![]()
If you’re using FireFox and want to give Google Chrome a try, be my guest but don’t expect it’s better than FireFox.
What about you? Have you tried Google chrome? And what did you think about it!?

These are some good comparisons that I actually have also deduced. I like to use Chrome whenever the internet is slow, but other than that I use firefox.

Chrome is sleeker and nicer than Firefox but Firefox addons make it the first choice for most people specially for bloggers.
I usually keep several different browsers on my computer. I’ve tried both of these. Firefox still wins hands down for me, but Chrome is getting better.
I see.. Well, I always use Firefox Michelle. The other browser I have installed on my PC is IE which I ONLY use to check my e-mails at home!
Totally true Blogger Widgets!
I would like to see Chrome & FireFox to work with eachother Ratty cause that would make the difference!
All the plugins that exist in firefox make it the best choice for me!!.
Firefox is still my winner since there are tons of superb addons that i love!
I crash far more frequently when using Chrome. I’ve been happy with Firefox for the most part.
wow you have a great blog i love it..this is the only site i put in my bookmark all your post are very use full ..im using google chrome and firefox..in multi tab firefox wins i can open as much as 100 actually i did not exit it i always save before exit..but in facebook i use google chrome. actually im using 3 different browser at the same time,,haha
I use both Firefox and Chrome. Both the browsers are often compared by users but I like the features of both browsers, of course there are some differences but to me, both works efficiently. So far, there has been no major disruptions.
