Like death and taxes, there’s no escape from colors. Everywhere you go you’ll see different colors, some of them you like and some others you dislike. Even when browsing you’ll see all kind of different colors and what if you suddenly came across a color which you really like? Wouldn’t be simple if you could just know the exact RGB and/or hex codes of that color? This is why I love ColorZilla; a great Firefox add-on which I just installed.

A screenshot of ColorZilla in action!
With ColorZilla you can easily get a color’s value (RGB and hex codes) with just a click of your mouse at any point in your browser. It also comes with a zoom option which makes picking color easier, pallet viewer and editor (which is fully compatible with GIMP) and my favorite feature; Webpage DOM Color Analyzer.
With Webpage DOM Color Analyzer you’re able to analyze DOM element color on any webpage and find out what CSS rules set the colors and locate corresponding elements like tag name, class, id, size, relative mouse position etc. A great assistance to any webdeveloper and graphic designer!

Great tool have been using it a while now with Firebug and I’m still learning all the features, good post.
I have been using this addons to check the color code for color themes and packages. Works great for photoshop color matching as well. BTW, Firefox rawks!
I have heard a lot of good stories about Firebug David, Steve but I’ve never tried it… So I think I really should do it then!
Yeah, it really rocks Jeremy69!
