Virtual CloneDrive: A Virtual CD/DVD Drive!

Posted By: Sunday 20 June 2010 2 Comments

Are you looking for a free CD/DVD drive emulators which allows you to run (mount) ISO images on your hardisk without burning them on a CD/DVD?  As the post name already mentions; Virtual CloneDrive is a virtual CD/DVD drive (up to 8 virtual drives at the same time) and behaves just like a physical CD/DVD drive.

With Virtual CloneDrive you can mount image files such as ISO, BIN, CCD etc, by just double clicking on the files. Off course that’s if you’ve set the program to associate with the supported formats! If not you can always mount and unmount an image file through the context menu (right mouse click menu!).

Virtual CloneDrive is a good alternative to “Deamon Tools” which I’ve been using for years but so far I prefer to use Virtual CloneDrive due to the fact that I can mount / unmont image files just by a simple right mouse click!

  1. I’ve been using daemon for quite some time now. I never really thought about choosing an alternative but then I’m going to try this. Daemon seems like a bit of a hassle for me. The virtual clone drive seems much more efficient

I thought CDs and DVDs are too obsolete. The IN thing now is the flash drive.
