SharePod: Free Your iPod From iTunes

This is a post which I wanted to publish long time ago but forgot all about it… Ever since I started to work out I and going to the gym, I can’t live without my iPod Nano anymore! I mean it’s a small thing, is 16GB big and the batteries life is pretty long. So yeah, I love it!

However there’s one thing which I really hate about the iPod and it’s called iTunes. I’ve had the 64bit version on my pc and every time I launched iTunes my pc froze. Beside that it made my pc really slow and I’m not saying anything about the extra software which comes when installing iTunes (QuickTime, VoiceOver Kit etc)… So I had to find another solution and I’m happy that I found my alternative software which is called SharePod.

SharePod is just a small program and allows you to add and remove your mp3′s from your iPod / iPhone without iTunes. This off course without freezing and slowing my pc. As SharePod is a small software it’s quick to load and in us. It also comes without unnecessary features and extra software, so you can use it right away. You can find the main features of SharePod here but for me the most important features are:

• Simple, clean interface
• Drag n’ drop to and from Explorer
• Add, remove and edit playlists
• Ow and did I mention that it’s free?

So if you have an iPod (of any kind), iPhone and you’re fed up with iTunes then you should try SharePod..
