Ever needed to send someone huge files by email, let’s say 1GB? Well I do. At work I often need to send files, artworks and HI-RES images to suppliers and to other people, so whenever I need to do this, I use WeTransfer.com.
WeTransfer.com is a website which allows you to send files up to 2GB per transfer to a maximum of 20 recipients per transfer for free and without any registrations. The thing I love about WeTransfer.com is the fact that you add as much files as you would like to send as long as the 2GB limit is not exceeded. So you don’t need to zip the files before sending, which is the case for most of other free services.
How does it works?
The service works like a charm and easy;
- Add the files you want to send
- Add your friend(s) email address
- Add your own email address
- Add some comments (this is optionally)
- Press Transfer button and you’re done.
At this point a confirmation email will be sent to the user, and email’s are sent to the recipient(s) containing download link to the files. The files will be kept online for 2 weeks. After this, the files will be deleted and can not be downloaded again.
By clicking on the info icon, as shown here right, you’ll be directed to WeTransfer.info where you can read more about WeTransfer.com.
Security?
As soon as you open WeTransfer.com, you’ll see that you’re in a HTTPS environment which means that the connection is secured. As for the files; they will be kept on WeTransfer.com servers for 2 weeks, after that they’ll be deleted.
So whenever you need to send someone files which are just too big to send by email; just use WeTransfer.com and the files will be transfered!

Just what I needed!! Thanks.
Great I could help you out William.
