Mozilla the company behind Firefox launched the new release of Firefox 4. I’ve been using Firefox for such a long time, so long that I can’t remember… Anyway I just downloaded Firefox 4 at my computer at home and I must say: I love it even more!
New engine:
Beside a new look Firefox 4 uses a new JavaScripts engine which makes it much faster then previous releases. This is something which will be really noticeable, so the people behind Firefox 4 has done a great job!
New Cool Look:
The new Firefox 4 comes with comes with a cool new look which is great and looks like the image here below. I love this pretty much as this saves you some space so you and puts the focus on the page you’re browsing.

The New Firefox look of the tabs
Firefox Sync:
With this new release they have also included Firefox Sync. I’ve used this in the past but I prefer to use Xmarks, but as this is currently build in, I might give it a try.
Do Not Track & Your Privacy:
With this release you don’t need to worry about your privacy on the web as it comes with a Do Not Track and Content Security Policy. You can read more about this here.
Other cool features:
Off course there’s more! Now Firefox support modern Web technologies like HTML5. Beside this we can use the new and update Add-on Manager which makes it easier to manage your add-ons, but also find new ones.
Enough said… Go & download Firefox 4 in your own language and explorer it yourself! However if you do want all the new features, click here. At this moment Firefox 4 has been downloaded 2.715.443 times. You can watch the live stats here!
In case you already have downloaded Firefox 4…. What’s your experience? Do you love it as much as I do?

It has taken them so long to release this that I have lost the excitement that I once had for it. I use to love Firefox back when they first started working on Firefox 4, but In the time it took for them to push this out I have become an avid Google Chrome user.
Yeah I know… It took a long time before it was launched as it got delayed every time. You should give it a try perhaps you’ll go back to Firefox again.
Firefox 3 was a bit buggy for me as it kept freezing and crashed a lot. I’ll download the new version straight away.
Hmm… Strange as I didn’t had any freezing with Firefox 3… Give Firefox 4 a try, perhaps things have been changed with this version!
Upgraded mine but found out that it is leaking memory on my Win 7. When I open a website and leave it open, the CPU allocated to FF reamined at 35% and memory usage kept on going up until I had to kill the process. Tried a few time with the same results.. Sticking to Chrome for the time being..
That’s stange as I can’t say that I’ve the same issue… Do you have a lot of add-ons installed? Cause some of them might have issues.
So what I would do is: Disable them all and see how it works and turn the add-ons on, one by one so you might recognize the problem!
somebody asked me to do the same too. will do that this weekend. Thanks!
Great minds think alike! =) Good luck with testing!

I downloaded Firefox 4 the other day not expecting it to be much better but man, it rocks compared to version 3. I run Ubuntu and have only had a couple minor flash issues that were very fixable. BTW, that is a lucky kitty
LOL! =) I’m glad you love it as mush as I do! =)
