I finally found some inspiration to start & finish this post! I’ve dealt with this problem in the past as mentioned in my previous post, but it never took me this long.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I shared the destination of our next trip to Istanbul. In the mean time we’re back for almost a week but still; There’s really no place like home! I mean I love to travel but coming back home to your comfort bed and house is just heavenly, right?
So back in Istanbul we spend a lot of time with our friend Naz. It was our first time in Istanbul so we didn’t knew exactly what to expect but luckily we liked it a lot. I’m not going to give you lecture about Istanbul’s architecture, history, economy etc as we have Wikipedia for that! However I’m going to share with you our experiences from Istanbul in some words & pictures!
Shop ‘n Fun:
As soon as we arrived in Ataturk International Airport we saw some big banner which said: Istanbul Shopping Fest with a nice tagline “Shop ‘n Fun”. And believe me when I say that they didn’t lie about that! Istanbul is a city that never sleeps and where you can shop till you drop. The Grand Bazar is a big place where you can find almost anything; from jewelry to carpets! It also looks really cool.

Beside this there’s also the Egyptian Bazaar where you can find every spice that you’re looking for. They even have the original Iranian Saffron which we use in our food almost everyday!

Food:
During our stay in Istanbul we tried to eat Turkish food as often as we could and I have to say: I really love it! Ok, some of the food looked pretty much like Iranian food (like the Kebab!) but that didn’t spoil the fun! =)

Looks delicious, right!?
Miniaturk:
As we had a limited time in Istanbul and as we wanted to see as much as possible in Turkey we decided to go to MiniaTurk which is miniature park of Turkey. In this park you get the chance to walk through Turkey and see its most important buildings and learn about its history!

Ok.. This is the time where my inspiration stops, so perhaps it’s best to show you some pictures! =)
