Creating a Baby Room…

Posted By: Tuesday 13 September 2011 8 Comments

So if you have been following my blog you should by now know that soon I’m going to be a daddy. Last week we had our 13th weeks ultrasound and everything looked just great.

In the mean time we’re already busy creating a baby room. In order to do so, we decided to get rid of our study room and convert it to the baby room. That’s why I already started to clean the room and make sure it’s all empty so I can work in it and make it a very nice nursery.

As we don’t know (yet) if Baby Alborz will be a boy or girl we’ll have to wait to choose the right colors. In about 6 weeks we get to know the gender of the baby so once we know this, I’ll start hanging wallpapers and buy the baby stuff.

We’re already buying some gifts for the baby and I really can’t wait till the baby is here!

Why not yellow, like on the picture? It’s a neutral color for both boys and girls. When I was a kid my room was green which is a nice, calming color that give associations to forests and meadows. :)

We have a lot of green colors in our house, so we do like the green color! =) However yellow is also a nice color but I guess we will wait to know if the baby will be a boy or girl and make a theme nursery room! =)

  2. Sounds exciting! Looking forward to the photos of the baby room’s design. Good luck!

Very good idea to let green colours dominate the baby room. Less traditioal than pink for girls and blue for boys. Thanks for your inspiration!
