At first I didn’t know what to expect but after spending 30 seconds on playing with the options, I have to say that this is a great add-on! It makes browsing even more easier, I mean take a look at the screenshot here below!

As you can see you can also add breadcrumbs to the URL segment and as I already mentioned; This is very handy to use and to navigate websites with! Give it a try, I know you’ll like it!

Well, if you would like to be prompted before FireFox opens a pdf file then you really should use PDF Download, a great add-on for your FireFox.

I have just installed this and I already love it! It is very easy to use and it doesn’t need that much space. I have customized it and made sure that the toolbar is only 6 1px wide. How am I going to see it? Easy: NOT! I love shortcuts and All-in-One sidebar has some handy keyboard shortcuts which you can change if you want too! So I don’t have to see the toolbar, I just use the shortcuts instead, Much easier and faster for me!

• F4 – open or close the sidebar
• Ctrl+Shift+F4 – open or close the options dialog
• Ctrl+Shift+E – open or close the Extensions
• Ctrl+Shift+T – open or close the Themes

How it works?? Just surf on the web like you always do with FireFox and when DownloadHelper detects a video or sound file, the icon gets animated and a menu allows you to download files by just clicking on an item!

My experience with FireFox:
Till some years ago I was also a Internet Explorer but then someone told me about FireFox and I thought: “Ok, I’m going to give it a try!”. Since then I’ve never use Internet Explorer! Ok, only for testing websites!
I would strongly sugges to everyone how uses Internet Explorer is to switch to Firefox! Just give FireFox a try and I bet you would like it as much as I do!

Why? FireFox offers a lot of cool features such as:

1. Security & Stability
   Security.. An issue which is really impotent for anyone of us! With FireFox you’re sure that you’re safe from spyware, scammers and spammers! But also from Phishing! (When you encounter a Web site that is a suspected forgery (known as a “phishing” site) Firefox will warn you and offer to take you to a search page so you can find the real Web site you were looking for.)
   FireFox is also more stable than IE. Sure it may crash a time but that doesn’t have any consequences for your pc!
2. Open Source
   FireFox is an open source and free browser which means that there are a lot of developer which continuesly are busy to improve FireFox!
3. Using themes

   With FireFox it’s much easier to save and manage your favorites! It even allows you to export your favorites!!
7. Spell Checking
   FireFox has a built-in spell checking which makes it easier to write without any mistakes on your blog or web-based email!
8. Web Feeds (RSS)
   With Firefox you have full control over web feeds! FireFox shows you a preview and lets you choose how you want to subscribe!
9. Session Restore
   With Session Restore, if Firefox has to restart or closes you don’t have to worry about the tabs and windows you were browsing cause it brengs you back exactly where you left off.
10. Ease of use
    FireFox is really user friendly! When you first download FireFox you can start browsing immidiatly! This can be even made more easier when using themes!!
11. Faster
    Firefox is up to 5 times as fast as Internet Explorer and It outperforms Internet Explorer on any test!
12. Page view / CSS usage
    This is really impotent for webmaster and web developers! FireFox follows the CSS standards and shows you exactly how a page is designed so check your websites on FireFox. Unfortunatly, as Internet Explorer doesn’t follow the standards that good (Ok, IE 7 is a improvement of IE 6, but IE 7 still has a lot of CSS issues!) and as long as there are people how uses IE, and you don’t want to loose those visitors, just make sure that your website looks good in IE too.. I know.. a lot of work and that’s excatly why FireFox should be the standard browser!!

So be smart and switch to FireFox today and browse happy!!

To assign one website to Speed Dial, use the new “Set as Speed Dial” option in the bookmarks menu, or right click on the tab you want to add, and choose “Set as Speed Dial”. That option is also available in the contextual area menu.

Speed Dial will be automatically loaded in blank new windows. It can also load in blank new tabs. To configure this, and other options, use the extension settings panel.

1. about:config
Type “about:config” into your address bar to access the hidden configuration options for Firefox. (FireFox have 7 hidden pages!)

2. browser.cache.memory.capacit
Controls how much memory is used to cache pages.
Right click on the page and choose New then Integer and create an integer called browser.cache.memory.capacity and set it to a low number. This controls how many kilobytes of memory are used for the browser’s cache.

3.browser.cache.disk.capacity
Set browser.cache.disk.capacity to between 5000 or 15000.
128MB to 512M -> 5000
512BM to 1GB of RAM -> use 15000

4. config.trim_on_minimize (optional)
Configure Firefox to swap memory to disk when minimized. This will make Firefox less responsive if you minimize/maximize a lot, but it is good if you need to free memory while multi-tasking to other applications.
Right click on the page and choose New then Boolean and create a boolean called config.trim_on_minimize and set it to true. Now when you minimize the window it will free up memory.

5. network.prefetch-next
Network link prefetch will download all pages with the rel=”prefetch” tag. This uses up more memory than you would otherwise think.
Set network.prefetch-next to false.

6. browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers
This controls how many pages of history are kept in the back/forward buttons. Lower the value to something acceptable. If you do not use back/forward often then you can set this very low.
Set browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers to a low number.

• Open FireFox installation folder. The default path is “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox”.
• Create an empty file in this folder with the name “msacm32.dll”. Use Notepad.
• Close all FireFox windows and open a web page with Flash sound to test it.
• If you wish to return sound back, just rename the file “msacm32.dll”.

The IE recipe is the same with only difference of the installation folder path, which is “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer” by default.

Simple? Yes, as promised.

How it works?? Flash uses Windows DLL msacm32.dll to play sounds. A Windows application starts searching for DLL’s it its own folder. If it does not find a library nearby, it goes to the other places as a system folder (C:\WINDOWS\system32). Flash is an ActiveX control. It works in the context of browser’s process. Flash uses browser’s DLL to play sound. Placing an empty file in the FireFox folder, we prevent a browser from accessing the actual sound DLL. Therefore the sound is disabled.

You can just type these in the address bar and press enter to access the pages:

about: - The same as the one under the Help menu. So I’m not sure if this is exactly hidden. Shows the same thing.
about:buildconfig – Shows the build configurations and some parameters
about:cache - Shows you some detailed stats on your disk and memory cache which includes the directory and the list of files/web pages accessed and stored there.
about:config – Pointed this out way back. Allows you to configure Firefox in-depth.
about:plugins – Lists all the installed plug-ins in your browser.
about:credits – The long list of people who have helped in building our favorite browser.
about:Mozilla – I like this one!! Cause you actually get a quote from “The Book Of Mozilla”! Anyway here’s the quote:
