Old DOS Game: Prince Of Persia

Don’t you just love playing games? Well I do! Especially when it’s an old game and with old games I mean really OLD! Games which you used to play in DOS, games like Prince Of Persia. I know I loved to play it back then! Ok, The graphics is worthless compared to the graphics of the new games and consoles, like Nintento Wii. Even now I’m a big fan of the Prince Of Persia games!
Anyway, did you knew that even now it’s possible to play the old game on your brand new, fast computer!?

The only thing you have to do is download the game from DOS Games Archives, unzip it and start the game with DOS. If you’ve forgotten how to use DOS, I can help you a bit!

Save the game on your desktop.
Unzip the game.
Go to Start.
Go to RUN.
Type CMD and press Enter.
In the CMD screen you’ll probably start at Documents and Setting/ USERNAME. Type cd desktop to go to your desktop.
type cd 4dprince to go to the game’s directory. NOTE: In this case I have extracted the game into a directory named exactly liked the zipped file.
type 4D_PRIN.exe and press Enter to play the game.

Now enjoy the old DOS game!

My New Addiction: Nintendo Wii

Since a couple of days I’m a proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. I got it from Jannie because I graduated. Ever since I got the Wii I want to play with it as much as I can. I never though that I would love it that much but it’s really cool. You can do almost everything with the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck. Right now I’m playing The Godfather game and it’s really cool. You have to start from scratch and make your way up to the top. You can drive around in the city, doing some missions for the family, exploiting business and much more! Off course using the Wii Remote and the Nunchunck is very cool and it gives to the felling like your really are IN the game!

I also love to play Super Mario Galaxy. When some creature escapes into space with Princess Peach, it’s Mario job to chase and explore bizarre planets all across the galaxy in order to rescue Princess Peach. Since he’s in space, Mario can perform some cool jumps unlike anything he’s done before. He’ll also have a wealth of new moves that are all based around tilting, pointing and shaking the Wii Remote. With other words: FUN!

Like I said: I never though that playing Wii would be so fun.. I’m very glad that I have it now, because the weather in The Netherlands is very bad right now. It’s supposed to be summer, but till now it has rained almost EVERY DAY! The bad thing is that it’s going to last for some more days. So playing Wii is actually the best option beside going to the cinema and going out to diner!

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

This is one of my favorite game titles! And for the first time in the series, Call of Duty moves away from WWII to the modern battlefield. I thought that I would miss the WWII atmosphere, but I didn’t!! I actually like this a lot!! It’s a very cool game with some great and awesome graphics! In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare you’re armed with an arsenal of advanced and powerful modern day firepower and you’ll be transported to treacherous and dangerous hot spots around the world! It’s your mission to take down the enemy who are a threat to the world!

In your first “mission” you’ll learn how to play the game and later there will be a test to test your skills. The test measures your skill and recommends the difficulty of the game. You can select the recommended difficulty or choose your own! After that it’s just killing time!

Gameplay: Very realistic and intense and a bit better than the previous CoD’s!
Graphics: Awesome!! I didn’t knew if I could play the game with my video card (I’ve got Nvidia Geforce 7600GS), but I can run the game pretty good!! It’s much better than any other CoD games!
Sound: The sound is also great, and gave you the feeling like your there.

Need For Speed – Pro Street Trailers

I was just looking at some of the NFS – Pro Street video’s on youtube! Now I really can’t wait to play the game!! According to Canirunit.com (More info can be found here!) I should be able to play the game, The only “failure” which the website gave me was the fact that I don’t run Vista but XP!

I love the Need For Speed series! This month a new chapter of Need For Speed will be released which will be called: Pro Street. Instead of an arcade style of gameplay which has dominated the series, ProStreet will focus much more on realism and move closer to, but not into, racing simulation, and still with options to use driving assistants to make driving easier and more arcade-like. Unlike its predecessors, all racing in ProStreet will take place on closed tracks, thus making it the first game in the series not animating illegal racing behaviour since Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, hence there will not be any police in the game. Performance tuning will take up a large part of gameplay in a way that even a small adjustment of the shape of a car’s body will impact its performance. Autosculpt is back from Carbon, but with much greater detail. According to an Electronic Arts employee, there will be thousands of aftermarket upgrades, visual and performance, from real performance brands.

In ProStreet there will be several different game modes, including Drag, Grip, Speed, and Drift. Drag race is simply a 1-mile drag race, the first to cross the finish line wins. Grip race, which is a circuit race, you do whatever you need to do, to cross the finish line first. Block your opponent, ram them, or even smash them off the track. Speed challenge is all about speed and control, you need to pass the checkpoints with highest possible speed, and the racer with the highest total checkpoint speed wins. Drift, you just drift for points.

ProStreet will feature next-generation graphics aiming for a more photo-realistic feel, and more advanced physics. It will also be the first Need for Speed game to include damage modelling since 2000’s Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed. The new damage system is said to be very accurate, as a collision with any object in the game world may render a car damaged or even useless.

Also, in accordance to the fact that Autosculpting any body parts will impact performance, these changes can be tested in an enclosed chamber marked as the “Wind Tunnel”. Your car is placed in the Wind Tunnel and artificial winds are created, giving you your performance on the track. You can use this to tune your car to your liking.

The new ProStreet will also feature an advanced damage system, which will directly impact on your car’s performance, unlike previous Need for Speed titles. This is especially significant in the Speed racing mode, as you can easily “total” your car.

So, I can’t wait till I get the game!! It sounds much better than any previous part of the series! When I have the game I’ll let you know and show you some screenshots!

This is a very cool game!!
The objective of the game is simple, you have to put the block through the hole by rolling it. Take note that it only goes in a certain way and there are obstacles in the play area that you need to interact with to reach your goal. Try to think out solutions to certain stages by playing with the block.
Controls:
Move Up, Down, Left, Right = Up, Down, Left, Right arrow keys
Space = Switch blocks

NES or better known as Nintendo Entertainment System. Can you still remember the first 8 bit games like Super Mario, Duck Hunt, Gremblins etc? Well I do.. Sinds we have moved into our new house we also found my Nintendo and Jannie has found some other games. Anyway.. We began to play with Super Mario Bros 1 and wanted to rescuse the princess. After some hours spending behind the Nintendo we did it! We finished Super Mario 1 and so we began with Super Mario 2 and Super Mario 3. We managed to rescue the princess for the second and third time. It was very fun to play an old school game. The graphics were just too simple compared with the newest games this day.. But the thing is back then nobody cared about the graphic and everybody loved to play Nintendo! But not my mom, the music of Super Mario drived her crazy!
