A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post called “New Mission: Losing Weight!” where I told you about my new mission which is losing weight.

When I started with going to the gym I had a weight of 110 KG, which was too much obviously for my height! You see… I had to do something about my weight and I also wanted to live longer and therefore a healthy lifestyle is necessary. However, I knew that going to the gym wasn’t the ONLY thing I had to change and that I also needed to change my food pattern and that’s what I did!

For the last 2.5 months I’ve changed things a bit around by eating healthier, left the fatty burgers a way and went to the gym a lot! Now a couple of months later and I already have achieved a lot; in stead of weighting 110 KG’s I only weight 98.9 KG!!!

Beside my weight, I feel much better now; feeling more energetic and feeling alive! However… There’s only ONE bad side to this story: I need new cloths as they’re too large for me now!!!

And now I’m off to the gym again!!!

So as planned; Jannie, Naz & me went to Ardennen. Ardennen which lies in Belgium is not even an 2 hours drive from us. At first we wanted to do some canoeing but due to the low river level they advised us not to do so! So we’ll have to do that another time! Instead of canoeing we decided to have some fun in the amusement park.

After walking around, enjoying the view, livin’ the good life it’s was time for us to go back home. Well, actually to the hospital to be exact! This because my mother in law had her second heart attack and needed a bypass surgery. So the end of our day sucked but all the rest was just fun!!

At first we went to Den Haag as we wanted to visit some shops and had a delicious lunch at a Dim Sum restaurant.
After our lunch we went to Scheveningen. As the weather in Scheveningen was bad we decided to go to the cinema and watched “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice“. When the movie ended we went to the passage for a little while and walked at the boulevard waiting for the musical to start. Although the musical wasn’t that fun, we still had a great day!

When we finally got back home it was late and we noticed some loud noises in our garden; As I went to take a look there was this drunk guy walking on the roof of our barn screaming “I’m going to jump off and break my neck, leave me alone!” He was obviously too drunk and angry with some of this friends who walked in the alley behind our garden. It was a good laugh when I told him to get off the roof and he told me “Ok, but where do I have to sleep?!”
Kids & drunk is a bad combination! Anyway, he finally jumped off the roof, which was about 2 meters high, and that’s when the peace came back in the neighborhood.

CentrO claims to be the Europe’s biggest shopping & leisure centre and it’s only 1 hour drive from us. Anyway, as Jannie and me never visited it before, and as it was recommended to us by some friends, we decided to check it out. CentrO  lies on 2 minute walk from the Arena in Oberhausen where I had been to a concert a couple of years ago and it was really big!

They have all kind of cool shops and Jannie and me were able to find some really cool things. If you’re ever in the neighborhood you should check it out! However in the mean while you could also check the pictures in the gallery by clicking HERE.

Brugge:
This was my first time visiting Brugge, which is also referred as “The Venice of the North”, and I must say that I liked this “small” city. Jannie and me walked through the historic city, which was beautiful, and also spend some time shopping!

Blankenberge:
After sightseeing Brugge we drove to Blankenberge which was only 20 minutes a way from Brugge. As you can see on the picture above, the weather in Brugge was cloudy. However when we arrived in Blankenberge the sun was shining!!

In Blankenberge we spend some time walking on the beach, walking on the boulevard and had this delicious see food; “Mosselen”. Actually it was Jannie who had the see food. I mean, I do like mosselen (I believe it’s called mussel’s in English) but I went for a big steak!

So yesterday night when we finally got back home we were really tired but at least we had a wonderful day!! We have also taken some pictures which can be found in the gallery. All you have to do is follow THIS link.

At first we wanted to go to Sweden and visit my family but as my mother in law recently got a heart attack and as we’re worried about her we decided to stay in The Netherlands just in case she might need us. This due to the fact that she had to stay at the hospital a several times as the doctors are still searching for an answer / see if an operation is needed or not. Beside that just before we would have left to Sweden I had a Accident with the car and at first it wasn’t even sure if the car would be fixed soon.
So that’s why we canceled our trip to Sweden and decided to do fun stuff here at home, or at least nearby, and this is what we have done in the meanwhile:

Breda:
Jannie and me went to Breda (a city nearby.. Approx 1 hour drive) and did some shopping there. As the sun was shining that day we also enjoyed the sun and had this delicious salad for lunch. Yeah, eating really healthy these days!

Park Hilaria:
Park Hilaria is a annual fair in Eindhoven which is really big. There are all kind of rides (as well for children and thrilseekers!) and with a lot of terraces, music. We went there together with some of our friends (my favorite Twins Nina & Naz, Dilek)  and we did have a nice day!! However we didn’t go into the rides, we didn’t feel like it. Anyway we did have a wonderful time!

We still have 2 weeks to celebrate the holiday and we still have a lot to do, as in fun stuff!

In case you’re not following me on Twitter this is what happened:
About a week ago I had a car accident.. Some F#$^&in idiot “parked” his car in the back of my Ford Fusion!

I was driving on an intersection and was trying to turn left while the car, a big LandRover, which wanted to go straight ahead smashed into my car. I was really shocked and angry at that moment.  The other driver, who was an old man, immediately said: “Sorry, I didn’t saw you at all!!”
Yeah, this pissed me off even more!! When I looked at my car and I saw the damage I was even more pissed off!!! I mean look at the pictures here below!

Anyway as we were blocking the road, we drove the cars to some where quite and started to fill in the necessary papers for the assurance company. The day after I went to bring my car to a garage and let them repair the damage, which were going to cost a lot of money. Fortunately I have a comprehensive policy so I don’t have to pay it myself, but then again… It sucks!

So today I finally received a call from the garage that I could pick up the car and so I did and I have to say: WOW!! They’ve done a great job repairing the car! You don’t see anything from the damage and it actually looks like new again!!! So a BIG tanks to “Autoschade Mosman” as they did a wonderful job and so quick!! Much appreciated!!

Now all I have to do is wait and let the assurance companies handle the stuff but luckily I can drive my own car again!!

At first I really didn’t knew if I were going to like it or not. Also the first couple of times were really hard for me as I was badly out of condition! I mean the last time I did anything for sport was AGES ago… When I was 16 or 17 years old! *Told you: AGES ago!*

So anyway… Now a couple of weeks later and I already have LOST 9 KG’s! Yeah 9 KG’s!!! Currently I weight about 101 KG’s and I’ve received a harder schedule from the Trainer at David Llioyd!

Believe me when I say that this feels really GREAT! I feel much better now these days and receive a lot of compliments from a lot of people! So this keeps me even more motivated!!

I had a wonderful day with a lot of good friends and off course with a lot of cool presents!

If you haven’t been there, you really should as it’s beautiful and they also have some very nice rides! We were with great company and therefore we had a lot of fun! One of the best days ever!

So we were really happy last week when we heard that Jannie got a new job! She’s going to work at ManPower in our home town and will start on 1st of June! She will be fulfilling her duties as a consultant…

So as you can imagine…. I’m really happy for her! So this is for you honey: CONGRATULATIONS!!!

So that’s why we decided to take a couple of days off and make some city trips and do some fun stuff! I mean…you have got to enjoy your life, right?!

Villa Arena (Amsterdam):
This is just a really HUGE shopping mall in Amsterdam where you can buy everything for your house;  from a simple new couch to a brand new shinny kitchen!

Nijmegen:
Nijmegen (about 1 hour drive) is considered to be the oldest city in the Netherlands so it was worth visiting. We started the day by doing some shopping followed by a visit to a spa called “Sanadome”. A perfect way to relax indeed!

It was really nice at Sanadome and we will definitely go back more often. What I enjoyed the most was the Salt water bath which has the Dead Sea effect at a temperature of 34°C. Due to the high concentration of salts, the water “carriers” you to the surface which also has a purifying effect, Loved it!

Düsseldorf (Germany):
The next day we decided to go to Dusseldorf, Germany. This is a really nice city to visit with a lot of nice shops, nice restaurants etc.

If only all the days could be like these!
However you can’t have it all and therefore you need to enjoy the fun days, right?!

Day 1: Disneyland Park
After several hours of driving we finally reached our destination and after checking in, putting our stuff in the hotel room we left the hotel to go to the park. Upon our arrival we saw that the park wasn’t that crowded; which was good news off course! This way we didn’t have to wait in line for the rides!

Day 2: Walt Disney Studio Park
As we stayed in one of the Disneyland hotels we received the so called “Disney Hotel Easy Pass”. With this pass we were able to visit the parks two hours before the official opening of the parks. I mean how cool is that!
Anyway; after spending some more time in the Disneyland Park we headed to the Walt Disney Studio Park to experience a new ride  called “Tower of Terror” which is REALLY awesome!!

Day 3: A walk through Paris
On our last day we decided to go to Paris. A bit sightseeing through the city of love as they call it. We saw the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eifel Tower and much more… It was very cold but we enjoyed it a lot! However, now that I’ve seen Paris I really don’t understand all the fuzz about it but that’s just me!
Anyway… If you ever have the chance to visit Paris, just do it and make sure to visit Disneyland as well as Disneyland is much better!

So what have I been up to lately?

• Well, the last couple of weeks has been extremely busy at work; trying to order the stuff we need and get everything in our warehouse on time, dealing with some complaints, a lot of sick colleagues (including me for over a week and half!) and much more!
• As you perhaps recall, I’m going to back to “school”. So I spend several hours a week to my study and preparing myself for my first exam which will be in the end of January.
• Designing a new theme for this blog… Yeah I’m working on a very new cool theme for this blog but it doesn’t go as fast as I would like to.. Lack of time!
• Doing a lot of things in/around the house.

• Getting ready for the Christmas time, setting up the Christmas tree.



• And much more… but don’t want to give you a headache!

More then enough reason to take a few days off at work and just relax and enjoy the holidays! And that’s exactly what I’m going to do! So for the next couple of days (long weekend) Jannie and me have planned a lot of cool stuff to do!

After backing up the important files and folders I formatted my HD and started to install Windows 7 x64 bits. I don’t know why but I had never installed a x64bits OS on my PC before so with Windows 7 I thought… Why not give x64bit a try? I mean I do have the hardware parts for it! So the installation started and I must say that the installation only took about 30 minutes which is really fast!

Once the setup was done and Windows 7 was loaded I noticed that all of the drivers of my CPU chipset, video drivers etc was already installed! I mean I was able to work with Windows 7 Ultimate almost immediately. Here below a screenshot of Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

With Windows 7 some small things have changes.. One of the good changes is that you can re-arrange every system try icons. Just drag and drop them into the order you like! This is definitely one of the things which I’ve missed in the past Windows versions…

My first impression of Windows 7 is that it’s a great improvement compared to Vista. So far everything is working just fine. It has also improved performance, speed and feels much more stable then Vista.  I also like the improved taskbar and some other features!

We had actually booked at the first hotel as the last time however we ended up in another hotel, which was even 10 times better! Why? Well, at the first hotel (The Loca Blue Lagon) they mixed up our hotel room and gave us a shitty room. A room which was 10 minutes a way from the main pool, bar, restaurant etc.. That’s not the worst part.. They offered us a room with 2 single beds! Yeah.. exactly on our honeymoon!  After complaining we were transfered (almost immediately) to the Palazzo Del Mare hotel which is even more luxurious then the first one! From then on we could enjoy our honeymoon perfectly!
