Some time ago I wrote that I was going to see some musicals in the “summer”. Well, summer?! The past weeks it looked a lot like winter time; cold, grey and with a lot of rain! Luckily it didn’t snow!

Anyway, Sunday when we left our house to see Les Miserables musical in Rotterdam. The weather wasn’t any better; again it was cold, grey and it was raining. :???: (See the picture below!)

Jannie in the rain…

Because the musical is playing in the “Nieuwe Luxor Theather” in Rotterdam we had to get there first, so after sitting in the Bus, train and the metro and almost 2 hours later we arrived at the theater.

Nieuwe Luxor Theater in Rotterdam

After waiting for about 30 minutes at the bar the show started. This show was pretty special, cause some of the actors had switched there role’s and that was a good thing for Jannie. Because now she liked the main character better.
Before the show started I had to read the story, cause the store is a bit complicated. So when the show started I knew the story.
Anyway the show was really good! Everything about the show was just great! The sound, the acting, the music, everything!
When I went to the show I didn’t knew what to expect and by the end of the show I knew one thing for sure: I have to see this musical again!
So we’re planning to go back and see the show again in a couple of months. In the meantime I’ll just listen to the cd!

PS: The same Sunday it was Red Bull Air Race in Rotterdam also. Unfortunately we couldn’t see the race because we were watching the musical but at the time that the musical was finished I could make some pictures…

Some cool airplanes

The Air Race track

So Sunday it was a very long day for us but we did enjoy it very much. As you can see on the photo’s here above the weather changed a bit. We might have the chance to see the sun before the summer ends!

Today I found a great extension for Firefox and it’s called: All-in-One Sidebar. All-in-One Sidebar adds a sidebar to your Firefox and it provides you easy access to all your panels such as downloads, extensions, history and your bookmarks. It even enables you to view source or websites in the sidebar. All-in-One Sidebar includes a slide-out button and a toolbar which is easy customized; You can set the toolbar to left or right, set the minimum, default and maximum width and the behavior on browser startup.

I have just installed this and I already love it! It is very easy to use and it doesn’t need that much space. I have customized it and made sure that the toolbar is only 6 1px wide. How am I going to see it? Easy: NOT! I love shortcuts and All-in-One sidebar has some handy keyboard shortcuts which you can change if you want too! So I don’t have to see the toolbar, I just use the shortcuts instead, Much easier and faster for me!

  • F4 - open or close the sidebar
  • Ctrl+Shift+F4 - open or close the options dialog
  • Ctrl+Shift+E - open or close the Extensions
  • Ctrl+Shift+T - open or close the Themes
  • Ctrl+Shift+P - open or close the Page Info
  • Ctrl+Shift+J - open or close the Error Console
  • Ctrl+Shift+M - open or close the MultiPanel
  • Ctrl+Shift+Y - open sidebar in a new tab
  • Ctrl+Shift+X - open tab in sidebar

Anyway, It’s a great extension which IS really handy and easy to use. Give it a try!

Some days ago Jannie received a letter from the Dieren Lotterij (Animals Lottery). This organization saves and rescues animals which are in need. In order to do that they need money and that’s why we donate some money each month to keep the animals save. Jannie has been a member for a long time but she didn’t knew that you could actually win something with the Dieren Lotterij.
So we got a letter which said that we had won a set of suitcases which is worth about € 250! How cool is that, I mean just a couple of weeks ago we had decided to buy some suitcases because the old one has almost passed away and now we get that for free!

Anyway, the set should be delivered in a week or 6 but just today we got them!

Suitcases

You see.. It pays to help the animals!

Some months ago while I was searching for the right CSS menu for my blog I came across List-O-Matic. List-O-Matic enables you to generate CSS-styled navigation menu’s in three very easy steps. First you have to choose how many links you want your menu to have and if you want to include title attributes in links. When you’ve make your selection you can enter the link details. After this step you can choose one of the 17 pre made designs which suits your website or blog. Don’t mind the colors of the pre made designs as you can change the colors later. When you’ve chosen your design you’ll get the codes which you need for your website or blog.
As you can see this is very easy to use and a great tool for those who want to have a nice CSS menu but don’t know how they can create there own! Click here to make your own CSS menu.

Since a couple of days I’m a proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. I got it from Jannie because I graduated. Ever since I got the Wii I want to play with it as much as I can. I never though that I would love it that much but it’s really cool. You can do almost everything with the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck. Right now I’m playing The Godfather game and it’s really cool. You have to start from scratch and make your way up to the top. You can drive around in the city, doing some missions for the family, exploiting business and much more! Off course using the Wii Remote and the Nunchunck is very cool and it gives to the felling like your really are IN the game!

I also love to play Super Mario Galaxy. When some creature escapes into space with Princess Peach, it’s Mario job to chase and explore bizarre planets all across the galaxy in order to rescue Princess Peach. Since he’s in space, Mario can perform some cool jumps unlike anything he’s done before. He’ll also have a wealth of new moves that are all based around tilting, pointing and shaking the Wii Remote. With other words: FUN!

Like I said: I never though that playing Wii would be so fun.. I’m very glad that I have it now, because the weather in The Netherlands is very bad right now. It’s supposed to be summer, but till now it has rained almost EVERY DAY! The bad thing is that it’s going to last for some more days. :???: So playing Wii is actually the best option beside going to the cinema and going out to diner!

The index service scans through files and  folders on the XP system and records information about them in index files in order to speed out the searching speed, but do you use the search function often? Personally I don’t use it. I like to have things organized, so I have everything in it’s folder where I can find the files very easy. By disabling the index service you can gain more CPU & RAM Resources and improve the performance of your computer.

There are two methods to disable the index service in Windows XP:

Method 1: Disabling the index service on a particular hard disk drive.

  1. Open My Compute.
  2. Right click on the hard drive to disable indexing (i.e (C:) drive letter).
  3. Select Properties on the contextual menu.
  4. Click on General tab if it’s not already selected.
  5. Uncheck the check box for Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching option.
  6. Click OK, and wait for the index removal process to complete, which may take a few minutes.
  7. Repeat the steps for other hard drives if applicable.

Method 2: Disable the Indexing Service in Windows XP for ALL the hard disk drives at once.

  1. Go to Start
  2. Type services.msc in the run text box and hit Enter
  3. In the Services Window scroll down and locate Indexing Service and double click on it
  4. Click on Stop button to immediately stop the indexing service if the service status shows Running.
  5. Under the Startup Type, select Disabled to permanently disable the indexing service so that it won’t run again.
  6. Click OK.

And that’s it!
Note: Searching is still possible after disabling of indexing service but it will be more slowly.
