Saturday May 17 2008Yesterday it was Friday and like every other Friday I had to work at Eindhoven Airport. However unlike the other Friday’s I had a so called “bus shift”. Currently the parking lot of Eindhoven Airport and the main entrance for the cars is under construction and that’s why someone like me has to guide the people and cars to the right parking space and make sure that they don’t stop in the middle of the street.
So I was doing my job (doing nothing but move the pawns when a bus or taxi with licences came by and guide the people to the right parking space) when a lady who was just arrived began to talk to me.
She said: “God damn, it’s a mess here! Where can my daughter park the car, she’s supposed to pick me up!”
I said: “I know, but it’s temporary soon it’s all over. But your daughter can park over there.”
She: “God damn, it’s really a mess here. By the way I want to draw a complain! Your colleagues don’t work hard enough!”
I was surprised and asked her: “Why!? What happened!?”
She: “I’m just back from my vacation in Malaga (Spain) and I had to wait ages to get my luggage! The trip from Malaga to Eindhoven was even shorter!”
By saying that she really pissed me off, but I tried to be polite, so I said to her: “Lady, I don’t think that my colleagues are lazy, we work as hard as we can!”
She: “Young men, you listen to me. I saw your colleagues standing in the front of the air plane with there hands in there pockets watching us. Beside that we had to wait for a couple of people in wheelchairs!”
This really pissed me off, and again I tried to be as polite as possible: “Excuse me, what do you expect? First everybody has to get out the air plane. After that it’s time for people with wheel chairs and most of the times the wheelchairs are in the cargo so we have to wait for that too! By the way, there are more luggage’s! Not only yours! So what do you expect?! We follow a standard procedure. If you have any other suggestion or methods then please do tell me! You have your luggage now and believe me if it could be done faster then we probably would have tried that!”
When I said this she looked at me and said: “I guess your right. Excuse me, I think I’m just tired!”
Damn, this makes me sick! All those people nagging about small things. Why don’t they chill out and relax!? I mean she was just back from her holiday!
So have you ever had to wait a long time for your luggage!? Personally, I don’t care how long it takes: Either I’m going on vacation or I’m coming back home. Personally I’m not in a rush, are you??

Friday May 16 2008In the past I’ve written some post where editing the systems Registry was necessary. However I never told you how to backup your Registry before editing it!
But better late then never!
Anyway, backing up your Registry it’s very important, cause your system Registry contains all information about your system. A Registry backup will help you to restore your Registry in case of problems after modifying.
Making a backup of your systems Registry is very easy:

Thursday May 15 2008This video was brought to my attention by my boss and you got to see this! This is really fascinating!
In 2003, the Hubble Space Telescope took the image of a millennium, an image that shows our place in the universe. Anyone who understands what this image represents, is forever changed by it.
So, what do you think now? Is our planet the ONLY planet that harbours life?? After seeing this video, I’m not that sure anymore! ![]()

Wednesday May 14 2008The history brush is one of my favorite Photoshop brushes. You can use the History Brush to selectively restore color, detail, smoothness, saturation from an earlier point in a picture’s history.
The most popular and my favorite use is to take a color picture, convert it to black & white, then brush the original color back into a particular selection. The artistic effect can be amazing!
Using the history brush is very easy and once you know how to work with it, you’ll use it more often! Just follow the steps and see how easy it is!
1. Take a colour picture like this below.

2. Convert the picture to black & white by Images - Adjust - Desaturate

3. Choose the History Brush from the toolbar or just press Y.
4. Now with the history brush you can paint back the color in the selected areas. Off course you can adjust the brush size and opacity to your need and be as creative as you want!

Your only limit is your imagination!

Saturday May 10 2008Reconfiguring your WordPress sidebar is easy with widgets: Just drag and drop widgets into the desired place on the sidebar of your blog, update and your done! But what if you want to use a php command line in one of your widgets? If you want to do that, you’ll find out that you can’t do that! However, there is a solution to that “problem” and it’s called Samsarin PHP Widget.
The Samsarin PHP Widget can be used like the default text widget in WordPress but it allows adding php command lines by enclosing PHP codes.
I’m using the Samsarin PHP Widget for the search widget in my sidebar. The default search widget doesn’t work for me: it doesn’t show it properly (when I enable it, it “floats” right in the middle of my sidebar while I’ve put them on the left side of the sidebar!) and it doesn’t allow me to customize the search button. So this is when I start using Samsarin PHP Widget.
The installation of the plug-in is easy: Download, extract and upload to your plug-in folder, go to your admin console, go to Pluggins, and Enable the Samsarin PHP Widget.
When you have enable the plug-in, go to your theme editor, Widgets and select the number of php widgets you want to use. By default 1 will be available. When you’ve set the numbers of php widget you drag one the widgets to your sidebar and edit its title and body and you’re good to go!
Click here to to get the Samsarin PHP Widget.

Thursday May 8 2008Hell yeah! I’M GRADUATED!
Today at 13 o’clock I had my evaluation of my master exam!
My master exam consists of an assignment which I had to make in the internship company. My assignment was planning and producing a demonstration video for a online free tool called AgendaChecker. This tool is an online agenda meant for artists & bands. The demonstration video is meant to make thing a bit easier to understand for artists & bands. Anyway, after spending a lot of time on researching, testing and some other stuff the demonstration video is ready to be used and can be found here.
Off course this isn’t the one and only thing which I’ve done at my internship company! I’ve done a lot of other things such as designing advertisements, creating a new logo, made some banners, made some new lay-out for some web pages, made some site headers and off course testing and improving the online service.
Anyway like I said here above I had my evaluation today. My boss had to fill in some competence forms with all “G’s” (stands for Good! Duuh!) and those had to be checked by a mentor from school. So after telling my mentor what I had done, how I had done it and some other nonsense he told me that I was graduated! ![]()
So I’m very happy about this!!
All that’s left is just 10 more days to work at the internship company, a small presentation to my class mates and then on July 1st I’ll get a paper which is better known as “Diploma!” Did I mentioned that I was happy about this?! ![]()
I’m planning to have a big party!
