Today I could pick my computer up from the repair store. They had changed the motherboard and everything seemed to work. So I went to Computerland and after paying a bill of 100 euro’s I could take my computer and my old motherboard with me. Right now I’m formating my harddisk and re-installing Windows XP. No, no Vista for me YET! I’ll stick to XP a bit longer and I’ll see when I switch to Vista. Today I received a call from Computerland… They figured out what was wrong with my computer, and I was right!! The mainboard of my computer was broken. He hadn’t any answer to why the mainboard was broken after 15 months… But I hope that this won’t happen again within 15 months! Today I finally found some time to bring my computer to the shop and let them fix the computer! Yesterday I was able to create a back-up of every file and folder on the hard disk of my dead computer. I just took the hard disk to a friends house and burned the data which I needed! I know a lot about computers and I can fix and replace small things in the computer such as a videocard, burner, RAM etc. but I’ve never changed or replaced a main board and/or the CPU… So now I’m done backing up the stuff, I’m going to bring the computer to the computer shop!
