LockHunter: What Is Locking My File?

LockHunter is a great alternative for “Unlocker”. LockHunter is a free tool which deletes files which are blocked by something you don’t know. This could be a system process or perhaps by another program.
Usually when you want to delete such file you get a pop up which says: “Cannot delete file: Access is denied” or something similar. In this cases you are left with 2 options:
1: Restart your computer and try to delete the file
2: Using LockHunter!
When using LockHunter you’re able to see the processes which has locked the …

Almost a year ago I wrote a post called: “PDF to DOC Convertor“. The post was about  a small tool which allows you to convert any pdf file to a Microsoft word document, .doc file. This tool extracts text, images and shapes from the PDF file to doc file and lets you keep the layout. This tool did his job very good but some days ago Richard from  PDFtoWord.com left a comment saying:
You might like to check out our free PDF-to-Word service too — http://www.pdftoword.com. You do it all via …

Let’s start with a little basic stuff, shall we? FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and is a very common method to transfer (large) files from “computer A” to “Computer B” or vice versa. In order to transfer files using FTP, you need:

The FTP Server address;  This could look like “ftp.domainname.com” or it could look like “11.231.231.234″.

In the past couple of years I’ve helped a lot of people with there computer problems. A lot of people wondered why their computer was running slower than usual and why they notice a loss on their computer performance. Well, unfortunately the more often you use your computer the slower it gets IF you don’t do anything about it.
I mean think about ALL the junk and temporary files stored on your computer, all those broken registry keys / unused files when you un-installing an application etc. So it’s no wonder …

The index service scans through files and folders on your system, whether you’re using XP or Vista, and records information about them in index files in order to speed out the searching speed. In Windows Vista the indexing options runs automatically in the background to index all the files in the Start Menu, user profile folders and files setup by default. Like any PC user you probably have a lot of file in these locations and if you’re using your computer and the files in those location the indexing …

For a long time I was looking for a free DVD/Multimedia player, one which was able to play the most media types such as DivX, Avi, Wmv, MPEG-1 etc.
In the past I’ve been using PowerDVD but I didn’t like it anymore. It began to frustrate me cause it took some time before it could start, it uses a lot of RAM (I have 3GB RAM installed but even with 3GB installed it freezes from time to time!). So as you can see, it was time for another software. …

Imagine this: you’re searching for some information on Google. As you know Google also shows PDF documents in the search results and you click on one of those links. This means that your browser automatically will open the pdf file. Personally I don’t like that. I want to be prompted before the browser opens the pdf file and having the choice to open the pdf file or download the file.
Well, if you would like to be prompted before FireFox opens a pdf file then you really should use PDF Download, …

When setting up a new wordpress blog, most people pay more attention to the design of there blog; Editing the CSS file, thinking about how to arrange the sidebar, placing adsense codes on the blog, signing for a Feedburner account and placing the Feedcount somewhere in the sidebar along with a RSS icon.
However people seem to forget to update the feed links in the header section of the blog. The feed link in the header section is used by the autodiscovery feature on most browsers such as Firefox and Internet …
