ColorZilla: Color Picker Add-on For FireFox

Like death and taxes, there’s no escape from colors. Everywhere you go you’ll see different colors, some of them you like and some others you dislike. Even when browsing you’ll see all kind of different colors and what if you suddenly came across a color which you really like? Wouldn’t be simple if you could just know the exact RGB and/or hex codes of that color? This is why I love ColorZilla; a great Firefox add-on which I just installed.

A screenshot of ColorZilla in action!

With ColorZilla you can easily get a… Continue reading here »»

Some months ago I found a really cool add-on for Firefox called: Extended Statusbar. (Yeah forgot to post about it!)
This statusbar will show you the speed, percentage, time and loaded size of the website / page you’re visiting. Really handy if you ask me! So give it a try!

Google Chrome VS Firefox!

I’m a big fan of Firefox and I’ve been using it for so many years and it has never let me down.
Now as we all know there is a new player in town when it comes down to browsers. This new player is made by Google and it’s called Chrome. I’ve waited a long time to give this a shot as I didn’t want to test it when it was beta and/or if it was just released. Just to give it a  fair chance against Firefox.

So some weeks ago I installed Google Chrome on my Windows 7… Continue reading here »»

I just installed a very cool FireFox add-on which you might want to give it a try! This FireFox add-on is called “Locationbar²” and it basically allows you to formats and linkifies URL segments in your location bar.

At first I didn’t know what to expect but after spending 30 seconds on playing with the options, I have to say that this is a great add-on! It makes browsing even more easier, I mean take a look at the screenshot here below!

As you can see you can also add breadcrumbs to the URL segment… Continue reading here »»

Almost a year ago I wrote a post called: “PDF to DOC Convertor“. The post was about  a small tool which allows you to convert any pdf file to a Microsoft word document, .doc file. This tool extracts text, images and shapes from the PDF file to doc file and lets you keep the layout. This tool did his job very good but some days ago Richard from  PDFtoWord.com left a comment saying:

You might like to check out our free PDF-to-Word service too — http://www.pdftoword.com. You do

Not so long ago I wrote a post called: “Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer“. Well, make that almost a year ago. Anyway, I’ve used Foxmarks ever since and I really have to say: I can’t live without it! There are just too many times that I’m at work, searching for something which I already had bookmarked at home. In this kind of situation I just log in to my.foxmarks.com and can simply access my bookmarks. Briliant isn’t it?

Now just a couple of days ago I recieved an email from Foxmarks (like many other Foxmarks users)… Continue reading here »»

I bet you have a USB key drive lying somewhere in your office or at home. I mean those things doesn’t cost that much these days and having one is really necessarily, not only you can use it for saving and caring your documents around, but you can also install portables applications on it like Firefox, Notepad++ and much more.

When you have portable applications installed on your USB key a small menu would be very handy, a menu with autorun to be exactly. A menu which could start when you insert the USB key in the computer.… Continue reading here »»
